Mel would probably make his cabinet members eat beans when he had a cabinet meeting!!

"I didn't get a Harrumph out of that guy!"

No, I think the Hillibeast would actually be worse than the current vermin and chief. I think there is NO limit to the depths of corruption to which she would sink. And after all, she would have the power to pardon herself!

I just WISH that the current anti-establishment mood would spread the Congressional races as well!

Personally I think that we should just write in Thomas Jefferson as President!

I'm visualizing him in the scene in Blazing Saddles as he was fondling the statue of Lady Liberty! OTOH, That also sounds more like something that Bill Clinton would do. OR Hillery would do!

President Mel Brooks

Yep, that's the scene I was thinking about. I can see it now. President Mel Brooks with his cabinet eating beans and making music:roflol:

The DNC isn't worried in the slightest bit about pushing ol Bernie out of the nomination. They have super delegates who actually pick their candidate. These people are hildabeast all the way. What does keep them up at night is how to handle Bernie's supporters. A large percentage of them despise hildabeast and without their support she's toast in a general election.

The problem I have with Bernie is he looks like he's been dead for 6 months, he just hasn't figured it out yet.

I agree with you. The Dems were so confidant of winning the election that they didn't even pretend to give the voters in the Democratic Party a choice; they just ran Hillery and no one else. Now that Bernie has stirred up a big part of the normally Democratic supporters, the Dem party and Hillery might be in trouble if those people don't "go along" with the party's CHOSEN ONE. The same is going on with the Rino party except their maverick is now leading! Both major parties are in serious trouble.

I don't agree with Bernie's socialistic beliefs. But, I was sort of admiring the guy until I did some research on him. He was a radical mostly unemployed activist and never got a regular paycheck until he was elected mayor of Burlington, Vermont. So, he's never been a productive member of society, just a complainer. And I think you are right. Both of my sons are pro-Bernie and both hate Hillary.

Regardless what we've been taught about socialism and communism, there is nothing wrong with asking for free education and free healthcare. These should be considered rights, not privileges.

Can you tell me where you find out about this radical activism thing?

Bluejay 02-29-2016 07:53 PM

Nothing is free. Someone must pay. I can't see that college education is a right. Nor health care. How much education should be free? AMastrrs degree, a doctorate? I was taught to pay my own way and now I pay my way and those that want everything free.

Roadie 02-29-2016 08:48 PM

I think some level of minimum health care should be available for everybody. However, some person who is 100lbs over weight and has never exercised who could use a knee replacement, I don't feel compelled to help pay for that. One of the things I like about Donald Trump is that he wants everyone covered by medical insurance.

At this time, people who don't have insurance are going to the county funded hospitals emergency rooms and are getting medical care that they don't pay for and people who have insurance or can afford to pay are billed 5 to 10 times what those services should cost.

College, I might could be convinced to pay for X numbers of students to get technical degrees that are needed in industry and will prevent the foreign work visas if the support is provided by merit. I don't think free education should be provided for degrees that don't prepare a student to earn a living. liberal arts degrees for example. But that can't happen. There would be screams to provide support based on racial quotas for any degree they wanted to pursue. It could get out of hand really quickly.

If you google his name, you will find out all you need to know about Bernie. He was 41 yrs old when he started getting a regular paycheck. He and his first wife moved into a hut with a dirt floor that he had paid $2500 for. Of course she didn't hang around very long.
