4 Attachment(s)
Unearthed the beast today. Dad's old 1967 MGB. First sun she's seen since 1993. LOTS of work to do when it gets to my house...
Attachment 12306 Attachment 12307 Attachment 12308 Attachment 12309 I'll update when stuff is done. |
Wow - doesn't look like it needs THAT much work, it actually looks pretty clean and VERY well cared for!
|
Yeah it mainly needs mechanical work. One wheel is locked up. I'm sure the entire fuel system from tank to carbs needs to be gone through. Brake and clutch cylinders rebuilt. Brake system and brakes. A little rust on the bottom edges of the doors. Nothing too serious.

Nice !

Have fun!
You know the British national pastime is fixing cars every Sunday? You know why the Brits drink warm beer? Because Lucas also makes refrigerators. |
My old man always told me not to drive the car any farther than I wanted to push it. Sound advice! lol
Looks like I have my work cut out for myself... http://www.mgexp.com/article/awakening-sleeping-mg.html |
Guess you're gonna have to call a tow truck to get it to your house right? You know since lowered trucks are useless :D
|
I need a flatbed tow truck to get it up the sloped driveway and in the garage since it doesn't run.
|
Such a beautiful car.. She's soo clean too.. I'd be very proud to own it..
|
Nice car...bet the gas monkey's can get it runnin'!

Nice car!
Don't see them around anymore, and if you do see one, it's from the '70's with the 5 mph bumpers. Can't wait for the update so you can tell us how she drives. |
My first car was a '65 Austin Healey Sprite which in that year was identical to a MG Midget ... a scaled down version of what you have there. I wrenched on that car a lot
Yours looks real nice! Post a pic of under the hood and the interior, if you have them. |
