John, that is an excellent write up for the master and slave change. Thanks!

My son in law took it to the dealer and they quoted him........are you ready...........$3,000!

They are saying a total clutch job. I told him to get the old parts to make sure they aren't yanking his chain.

His step Dad was researching it too and told my SIL that the trans is next to go. It seems that these cars are a ticking time (money) bomb that can't be easily disarmed. His advise was to get rid of it as soon as he can. I feel bad for the guy, but what ya gonna do?

Sad thing is I think the problem was he got low on fluid and has an air bubble and it needs to be bled. But I didn't get a chance to look it over very good.

Get a second opinion from an Indy shop. A lot of times their rates are considerably lower and their work is better.

I know, but he was in a hurry to get it back and being new years weekend he is kinda screwed in places to go. He is just bitting the bullet. Thanks though.

All I've ever done was tow one. The 6.4L didn't even know it was there, and I prolly could have fit two more.
