Toyota Tundra Ads

Is it just me or are the toyota tundra chemercials freaking stupid! Oh I can tow a space shuttle down hill with no tounge weight at 1 mph, if I tried hard enough I could do it on my bicycle! Oh look at my bad ass tundra I can pull 10,000 lbs up a fire tunnel in 4 low at 1 mph. I mean really? Really? This is all they can come up with?

I thought going up the fire engulfed spiral ramp was pretty badass

They're trying to sell their product - I'm ok with that.

The shuttle one is stupid though :) I prefer the Chevy commercials with "Santa" :)

That's written worse than a 7 year old who drank too much cough syrup.

f150online has no say what adds show up. a chevy forum will have a ford add on it occasionally.

The big 3 were stupid not to jump all over the space shuttle towing.

2stroked 12-08-2012 01:51 PM

Let's be honest. If it was a Ford towing the Space Shuttle, folks on this forum would be whooping it up about how great / strong / powerful / tough / etc. the Ford truck was. Toyota stole a march on everybody and got the bragging rights. Oh well, one advertising opportunity lost. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The Tundra did a wonderful job towing the space shuttle. But it still looked ugly as he11 doing it.

They didn't get the chance. toyota sponsors the science center so they were naturally the only bidders on that opportunity

They're keyword driven... threads like this generate those ads. LoL!

That's the worst part. It's moving so slow you have wayyyy too much time to look at it. Good thing the space shuttle is there so there's something cool to see.:D

I will say, the Tundras are certainly hard on the eyes. At a previous company I worked at a couple guys had them and had a lot of problems. The current design is getting a little long in the tooth, however.

Don't worry the new 2014 Tundra will be a the Chicago Auto Show in Feb. Its being released in August this year. You can bank on it that Ford is paying attention! I think Toyota is going to come out swinging this time with the Tundra. Apparently they do have an 8spd tranny and a revised 5.7 engine as well as a Hybrid engine.

I'd like to see them hook up to the bumper or even to a 5th wheel in the bed and see what happens!:D

Patman 12-10-2012 01:31 PM

Anyone else see how much axle wrap there was on the take off when it was hooked to the shuttle.
