Lov'in It
I have only one problem with my truck. I do not have cracked doors or roof, the engine is smooth and powerful. The tranny shifts comfortably, not too hard not too soft. Nothing is leaking, (tranny leaking when new but fixed). And the ride is smooth and comfortable. In short, I love my truck like no other vehicle I have ever owned. I know several people with Dodges and they seem to be nothing but trouble and the dealers are out to rape them on repairs. I have personally owned numerous GM vehicles and all were junk. My dad worked for GM and I qualify for a discount but I will never purchase another. Way too much trouble!
Yes I love my truck. But, here's the rub. My wife hates it. Not that its a Ford or a F150. She hates all trucks. I'm looking for a way to bring her to the enlightenment which comes from ownership of a tall heavy powerful truck. |
TIGER,
I feel your pain Brother, when it comes to GM products. Had my share of 3 Lemons. Also on my 3rd FORD truck. Going to keep this one. Being from TX, there is nothing better than seeing a good lookin' woman driving a full size truck. Just tell her, "Hey Babe, You look good driving/riding in my truck". Keep on it, she 'll come around eventually... Ranchero1968 |

She should at least put up with what you "love". Tell her about all the crap she can haul in it shopping. Tell her she's lucky to even have such a nice vehicle; many don't. If all else fails, tell her she's due for a spanking !! :D

That's just it. When we traveled last we had to take the truck because her minivan wouldn't hold half the stuff she packed. And 90% of the stuff is hers. I'll give this truck up when then pry my cold dead fingers of the wheel. |

"minivan"...Good one !! Relationships are all about sharing and modifying viewpoints. I'm lucky, my wifey loves cool vehicles and has an open mind. We've always let each other persue whatever interests we have and supported each other's as a trade-off; it's the only way to fly. Good Luck !! ;)

Umm. I hesitate to ask this, but is getting rid of the wife an option? :D

Dennis,
I'm suprised that one didn't come up first. Seems the most obvious. Alas, I'd have to call it a last resort. But, no matter what, the truck stays. I keep thinking, "if she'd just drive it she'd understand". |

BE HAPPY! Let her continue to feel bad about trucks! Mine didn't like them either, but I/it conviniced her it was the best way to go. Gonna be battle after being away for a few months to wrestle it back, she's loving it.

Hey, at least she doesn't want to drive it! Let her keep hating it, that way you have it all to yourself!
