M1009 playin' around with on time off.

Got a few days before I have to go to work, so decided to get my Blazer back in action after sitting for over a year.

Sooooooo, almost a year later and I'm finally getting around to workin' on the Blazer again. Two months ago bought a donor for a new tranny.

The last two days have now got the donor tranny out and cleaned up, and yesterday got the ****ed unit removed. Of course just to add work, I wanted to use the old tranny pan vs the donor pan as it has a drain plug. Openin' it up reviled a pepto bizmal lookin' fluid that I suppose stems from three years ago tryin' to drive through a pond.

Miss drivin' my bowtie, need some nice weather next week to get the good unit bolted up in.

We have one of those as a brush truck. That thing constantly knocks over small trees and goes places I not dare take my '06 F-550. Its impressive.

I've owned six Blazers/Jimmy's over the years, and there is nothing quite like them! My first 4x4 was a 1975 GMC Jimmy, and I would trade anything to have that rig back! They are just about the ultimate vehicle, IMO.

Yeah, I like my Broncos, but the K5's win a solid front axle, leaf springs all around, and a diesel from the factory.
