Don't srew around on my driveway ...

A couple of months ago I came home from work to this ... (I'll give you one guess which of the 3 people in the pic was driving )

Last night, my wife had a little problem ("I only looked down for a second ...").

The slopes are a lot steeper than they look in the pics ... I'm surprised the Kia didn't roll!

oops

so were you able to yank them out or did they need a wrecker?

fairlaner Aug 7, 2011 02:53 PM

The Kia wasn't my problem ... she got a wrecker (you can see the cable on the ground behind the car).

The Subi I easily pulled out w/ my 150, but not before I connected a strap from the back corner to a tree to keep it from rolling.

My poor wife was completly traumatized by the whole incident ... bet she drives a little more carefully on the road from now on. :D I've driven the driveway probably 5000 times and have never once even come close to going over, but every time I walk down it I see places where people have dropped tires over the edge.

So was the kia driving on your driveway?

p.s. Pave that driveway and get a fun car. Would be so sick to come home!

Naw ... she's all happy I saved her beloved Subi from rolling down the hill :rocker:

The Kia was driving down and went off the driveway at about the furthest spot you can see in the Subi pic. Momma was driving up and went off about 50' from the house.

When I was a kid we had a similiar dirt driveway, about 1/4 mile long that wound up a hill. I had a '65 MG Midget (1500 lb two-seater "sports"car), that was loads of fun on it.

That's a hell of a driveway.
Keeps the door-to-door salesmen away, that's for sure ... :rocker:
