What browser?

Well, Google Chrome has crashed on me for the last time. With the latest update, it won't even get on the net anymore. I'm using Explorer but it seems considerably slower than Chrome. I used Firefox for a few years and it was good unitl it updated and went to crap. I reloaded it about 2 months ago and about 10 minutes into the first session, it crashed. Their technical support is near non-existant. So what's out there that is fairly trouble free, light, fast, doesn't need a billion add-ons to work with most of the media players and pdf files, and is fairly bug and virus restistant? Yeah, I've got a firewall and anti-virus but some of the browsers seem to attract more hackers than others. TIA.

I am using Firefox, and can say I have not had it crash for ages. I have in the past had AV/Firewall software that conflicted with it, specifically Kaspersky. It caused quite a bit of problems with Firefox.

Used Firefox for years at home, but one of the websites I use for work doesn't seem to get along with Firefox.

When I had to wipe my home computer clean last year, I transitioned back to Internet Explorer at home, too.

Works OK and does not crash on me.

Firefox and/or Chrome. Have not had any crashes on Chrome with Windows 7...once in a while with XP pro. I think Chrome is cleaner, but with wife likes using Firefox better....

Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari, they all work fine for me. I'm slow to upgrade to their newest and greatest preferring to wait for all the bugs to be eradicated.

Netscape.... ah, loved it.

Of course, I have one of those "off" brand computer thig-a-ma-giggies so it might not matter to you guys what works on mine and what doesn't.

firefox eats memory like candy!!!
if you leave firefox up for over a day the memory will be upwards of 500,000K! easy fix is to close it then re-open but its a constant battle with it slowing my PC down.
