Yep I tried to hop on the Opera bandwagon I couldn't take it. I keep coming back to firefox, it runs, its fast, it doesn't crash on me, and most important its not IE.

Well, from what I recall, some things didn't work correctly. I kept it for a long time, messed around with it here and there. Couldn't get everything to jive and gave up on it. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Firefox and Chrome are both good. I prefer FireFox for reliability but I like that Chrome uses webkit for its base and has a better Javascript engine.

Personally I use Firefox when I develop at work because of the plug-ins and Chrome at home because it seems just a little faster. I loathe IE. I can't tell you how many times I've written a script or style sheet that works and looks beautiful in Firefox or Chrome, but looks like it was written by a five year old in IE because IE can't be bothered to follow web coding standards.

</soapbox>
the joy's of being a web developer. what's worse is that people still use IE 6. WHY?

Wait till you upgrade to that 486, K, it'll leave that 386 in the dust! Well, your naps won't be quite as long anyway!

=Labnerd;4476824]Well, Google Chrome has crashed on me for the last time. With the latest update, it won't even get on the net anymore.
Crashed??? What's that??? Unless it's got 4 wheels on it, I don't know what that is.

Has anyone tried the free version of this quick launch dock yet ? I've been using it for office apps/prgs for about a couple weeks and it works pretty good.
These type of programs haven't fared to well in the past with Windows. Works great, if you like to use a separate dock for work and quick launch for other.
That's if you like your desktop clean.
Office use to have it's own dock way back when, - then they got rid of it, with Office 03 I believe.
Iduno, so far , so good anyway.

The free version is good enough, no time limit.

I've used it, but windows 7's taskbar is better. That dock is good for XP and vista

Well, I'm now using Opera. I just started with it so I haven't found any issues but it's a LOT faster than IE or Chrome. Seems to have a much cleaner and clearer screen too. Got some of the widgets or add-ons. It's a lot like Firefox with the add-ons. Skins are not fancy and there's not a lot to choose from but it works for me....so far. But if I have issues with it, jbrew will be the last to know.

What ?

Yea, I can't recall what I had issues with exactly. Maybe I couldn't locate patience quick enough. I might force myself to give it another go, specially since I'm last on your list, -I see how yuh r..

Is it ? Yea, I don't like W7 yet. Don't like the way it looks or using it. I'm stuck on Vista still. I haven't used 7 all that much tho. The biggest PITA with Vista is sharing. I can get XP and Mac to file/printer share, but Vista and Mac forget it.
