Father and Son's first fishing trip
 

Well my wife was working yesterday so I took the son to a neighbors pond... He will be two on the 20th of this month and is all about hanging with Dad and trying to do everything I do.

He would stand still and watch the bobber unless the dog got close to him then he had to smack the dog with the fishing rod... He didn't catch anything but I did catch a nice 5 lb LMB... He and I have had some good days together but this day was extra special...

My son is due to be here in February. Can't wait to take him fishing!

Very cool...glad to see him starting out young...Wish more dads would do this with their kids and I would see less of them at work.

My boy is 13 and is finally taking an interest in fishing, not that I didn't try. He's more of a video game kid.

I picked him up his first bait casting combo and a spinning/finesse combo for Christmas. Looking forward to teaching him how to use the bait casting reel at our local pond. Co-worker and I have been releasing largemouth bass caught from other area lakes and stocking the pond with them. Gonna be fun. :)
