This is my first. When I was a kid my dad got one of the first 97s off the line. Since then I always wanted one. Finally got one in 2007, ironically 10 years later.

 

I had a 1984 F-150 XLT, a 1997 F-150 Lariat, then went to a 2000 F-250 and then the 2004 F-150 Lariat I still have. Wife also had a 1997 Expedition when I had my 97 Lariat.

 

I have owned five F150's.

1982 F100 XLT, 2WD, 302, reg cab, long bed
1995 F150 XLT, 2WD, 351, reg cab, long bed
2001 F150 XLT, 4WD, 4.6, s-cab, short bed
2008 F150 XL, 2WD, V6, reg cab, short bed
currently 2003 F150, 2WD, 4.6, s-cab short bed

and a couple 5.0 Stangs

I owned an 89 Chevy truck that I bought new and it was constantly in the shop and GM was no help! Now I am not a brand basher but from experience I just feel Fords have a more solid feel and seem to be much more reliable than the competition.

 

Only this one so far.

 

My 08 is my first F150. I've owned a 94 Chevy 2500 and a 90 Ranger before this truck. Drove the Chevy til the frame broke and the Ranger til it got wrecked. F150 FTW. You can't beat the mileage on a Ranger's 4banger 5 speed though, too bad its sitting in my garage until I rebuild it someday.

 

I've owned 2 F-150's. I had a red 1997 XL RC 8' bed that I bought used in 99'. Traded that in for my current truck in 2002.

 

I've had 4.
First one was a 78 F150 Ranger I got when I was 13. Planned on restoring it but that didn't happen.

Got the 96 when I was 15 and got rid of the 78.

Got a 92 with a 300 6 5 speed for winter then gave it back because I hated it.

Traded the 96 in for my 04 and plan on keeping it for a very long time.

 

This is my first F150, we've always owned Ford and/or Mercury. My husband usually has the trucks and I've had cars up till we bought the F150.

 

I've owned 7 F-150s and 2 Rangers and a host of other Fords. I've never had Major problems with any. The worst two had to me the 1988 Escort and the 2001 Explorer SportTrac.

 

This is my second, and won't be my last!

 

95, 2002, 2005, 2010.

 

2003 4.2 and now 2006 4.6. I might get a new one one day. But not looking to get one anytime soon.

 

my next one will most likely be a used raptor supercrew.

 

I'm on my second....had 2005 reg cab 8ft box XLT. Only got rid of it because I missed having the room in the cab. Traded that for my new at the time FX4 for $12,000 off of the sticker price...since it had sat on the lot for over a year (I live in GM country). I'd like a newer one, but will probably just keep this one for many more years. I grew up in a GM family and can't say I'm totally converted, but as far as trucks go....I feel that Fords are just built more heavy duty where as the Chevy's felt more like a car that you could still haul or tow something with as long as you didn't try to over load them.
