I've been awake over two days . . .

And now starting my third.

I seriously need a quadruple espresso, not diluted with extra water - I'm looking at you Starbucks. (Hell, I'd settle for some 'Bucks if there was one close. I miss CB&TL).

:help: :coffee:

Damn.

Insomnia's a B.

Yeah, if you like that kind of thing. The side effect profile for zolpidem is not good. I wouldn't take this stuff if you forced me.

The active ingredient in Advil PM (and Tylenol PM too) that helps in aiding sleep is diphenhydramine, which is . . . Benadryl (or rather the active ingredient in Benadryl).

If you use Advil PM or Tylenol PM to aid in sleep, you can get the same effect without having to ingest ibuprofen or acetaminophen in the process if you just take Benadryl before bed.

Run a few miles, you'll sleep tonight for sure!

I usually take benadryl if I can't sleep. It works great. I work shift work and I'm never on the same shift, so it's pretty easy for my sleep schedule to get really messed up. Last weekend I was up for about 2.5 days, I finally got home and took some benadryl and I slept for about 15 hours.

I never take anything on shift. If I can't sleep then I'm just up. The only time I take meds is when I'm at home and don't have a shift for at least 24 hours

same here, i usually end up staying up for 20 of my 24 hour shifts, and then getting woken up the other 4 hours lol

a couple shots of jager usually does it for me when i really have a case of insomnia. its usually enough to take my mind off of things and the alcohol helps.

take some NyQuil about 6pm tonight...take about 1 1/2 doses and sit and watch TV for a few minutes. You'll be out in 30 minutes :beers:

For some reason NyQuil has the opposite effect on me. It keeps me awake.
