This happened yesterday in Seattle. The cop was going to get them for jay walking. Do yall think the cop was in the wrong for doing what he did? i dont think he did anything wrong! Discuss

 

I thought he handled it very well. I can't believe he did not react even more with the stupid guys milling around behind him and close to him. Those with the camera phones should have been calling for officer aid instead of recording everything.

 

Was actually gonna post about this. I don't feel he was wrong either. They were resisting arrest and grabbing and holding onto his arms. He took control of the situation the way he had to. I think he is suspended now though.

 

i think he was justified. that girl was clearly interfering with an arrest. His job was hard enough trying to cuff the other girl before he had someone else come over and add to the situation.

 

Totally agree with you, just hope they dont pull out the "race" card on him and turn it back on him saying he was wrong for doing it. I wouldve done the same thing especially with all the people around and i was by myself.

 

I don't think he should have even bothered with it because they were jay walking. People jay walk all the time. I do ever day when I go surfing. haha the video is actually kind of funny. He definitely did put that lady in her place. He did react the way he should have in this situation but I personally think he was wasting his time in the first place.

They are definitely going to pull the race card on this one...just a matter of time.

She's lucky I wasn't the cop, she would have been on the ground with my knee in her neck.

 

I don't think I would have been so calm with all those thugs hanging around with their camera's in my face. I'd probably end up waving my gun around trying to get them to disperse. I agree with everything he did.

 

To stop them for J-walking is only minor and he may have only wanted to lecture them for their offence.
The problem started when they showed extreme lack of respect for the officer and it went down hill from there.
The charges just keep growing as it goes on; resisting arrest, assulting an officer, interference with a police officer, disorderly conduct. Stupid arrogant people act like that all the time.

I completely think the cop was right. I think he showed alot of restraint, If it was me it would have been STICK-MACE-TAZER in that order!!!

 

He did the right thing.

 

The policeman did nothing wrong. Sad how most everyone in that crowd has zero respect for authority. I weep for our future.

Cop punching girl in the face for jaywalking = police brutality. But that's not what happened.

Cop punching someone in the face because they are interfering with his duties and placing him in danger of having his weapon(s) removed and used against him or others = No problem.
