I can't say I blame you, I couldn't do it either. I'd have someone else do it, then pick my truck up after the work was done.

Really Cool stuff

The outlets are not white, they are grey

The same grey as the air conditioning vents, see it is even smiling for you, "I am grey just like my cousin the receptacle. :)"

I would think the inverter should be up off the floor a bit for cooling reasons, yes /no??.
Mine can get a might hot after running for a while.. Why not just install everything under the hood, ie: outlets and inverter. I have mine on the fender wall and outlets inside the grill near the hood latch with waterproof plugins in the sockets.

Sound like a good Idea but so far is has been fine at the spot where I've installed it. Plus I go off roading very often and even though I don't mud any more I sometimes still get mud and water all over the engine bay.

It's a great idea and you did a fine job installing it all. I use mine mostly for emergencies as this is also my plow truck.

Where did you get those switches that are in place of the 12V outlet? I've been looking for something like that.

Thanks!

I've got a 3000w inverter in my truck and I love it. I got from Harbor Freight, and I've had it for about 8 years now. It is so handy to run a saw or charge batteries out in the field. If I'm drawing big amps, I just keep the truck running. But to charge a couple drill batteries, no need to run the truck.

I got 4 outlets in the cab, and 4 in the bed/tool chest.
