I heard about this a while back, but I just got an e-mail that reminded me. Thought I should share.:rocker:



This conversation was overheard on the VHF Guard (emergency) frequency 121.5 MHz while flying from Europe to Dubai.

The conversation went like this...
Iranian Air Defense Radar: 'Unknown aircraft you are in Iranian airspace. Identify yourself.'

Aircraft: 'This is a United States aircraft. I am in Iraqi airspace.'

Iranian Air Defense Radar: 'You are in Iranian airspace. If you do not depart our airspace we will launch interceptor aircraft!'

Aircraft: 'This is a United States Marine Corps FA-18 fighter. Send 'em up, I'll wait!'

Iranian Air Defense Radar: (no response .... total silence)

I got that about two weeks ago. Absolutely loved it. I spread it on to everyone in my address book.

Gotta love the Marine Corps!!! lol

Nice story but thats what it is a story. These e-mails get circulated all the time no fact included. There one of a helicopter painted like an eagle that is actually a russian helicopter painted in bosnia. In the e-mail the claim is its a us helicopter and all. Take them with a grain of salt..
