HI is pretty liberal, but hey they live on a tropical island and lots of them smoke weed so I guess they're pretty happy. :D

If states like Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Montana, Arkansas, Missouri, ect ever get on the most unhappy list... then I would be worried.

woohoo michigan 49th!!!! 1st in crime last in happyness who woulda guessed it?? its so depressing here 13-15% unemployed and 2 peple killed every day. i need to move to TN or it looks like Louisiana is the place to be!

I'm not too surprised by MD's ranking. We have DC and Baltimore crime spreading to our suburbs, state taxes are ridiculously high, and the traffic is pretty bad. DC\Baltimore area does offer the higher competitive salaries, at least in my field. I probably wont' retire here, but I'm happy for now and sticking around :thumbsup:.
