I've been hornswoggled by Royal Purple for the past 3 yrs!

Hmmmm..... Now which lubricant should I use. Well, at this point in time I think I need some Vaseline after finding out I've been Bamboozeled!

"The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus recommended......that Royal Purple discontinue its use of consumer testimonials reporting specific performance attributes in the absence of reliable independent evidence showing performance capability."

Switch to Motorcraft synthetic blend and save yourself some heartache, and cash.

I never found RP to be any superior lubricant...

Whether it'd be SuperTech from Walmart to Mobile1, synthetic is synthetic.

Plus, I'd never run Mobile1 Clean 15000 in any engine --- wayyy too many detergents.

Is not about the money, but why do I want to revert to regular oil or petroleum, AKA crude oil. My vehicle needs better lubricant than conventional oil especially after installing all the after market parts.

synthetic is crude oil. It has just been modified. synthetic is pretty much a waste of money except for a few extreem cases. ford's semi synthetic is a great value and will protect the way the manufacturer of your vehicle intended.

You have a Roush supercharger. Why not use Roush motor oil?

Well, in that case I'm the exception and the extreme case.

I hope the "New High-Performance ROUSH® Motor Oil" prices include Vaseline.

How so?

I change my oil at 2500 to 3000 miles. When I drain the oil out of my engine it still looks great and thats after 30,000 miles and counting. I use Motorcraft Semisyn 5w20 with new Motorcraft Filter.

On the contrary, my buddy uses Mobile1 Full Synthetic and keeps it in for 5,000 miles and it blacker than the text that I'm typing. And he's only got 22,000 miles and counting. He uses the Mobile1 Full Synthetic 5w20 with a Mobile1 Filter.

So blah, blah, blah... RP, Mobile1, SuperTech, Motorcraft... I'd never keep oil in the crankcase longer than 3 months / 3,000 miles, and there is a good reason for it.

After seeing that, it validated my reasoning on the 3k oil change.

Yes, as I mentioned b4, in the past 2 yrs I've change the oil 8 times and on 3 occasions have had all of the fluids flushed and replaced with fresh lubricant and radiator fluid. First off, it doesn't hurt to change the oil every 3k miles. Secondly, my truck is not your typical daily commuter which only takes you from home to work, to the store or to the mall and back to on drive way or in the garage. I truly, do abuse my truck with my driving style on both the Hyw and off road. I know that my 90 to 99 mph driving, 4 wheeling, hill climbing, and trail riding for hours at time, takes a toll on the lubricants, for which reason I prefer to change the oil/s even before it hits 3k miles. This video only demonstrates a few minutes of abuse, but will give you an idea how much I abuse it all the time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlRNqKuAYAY
