Stability Control's future and Modifications
|
Somebody started a thread on this (maybe in the Electrical forum) a month or so ago. Said he had a truck with stability control and he'd lifted it. Now, it felt "squirrelly" (my description, not his) in turns.
I think this can be a pretty serious problem. - Jack |
Yeah, It is something that needs to be looked at as Procomp is. Aftermarket customization is huge as we all know. I hope this can get worked out.

Did anyone read the comments posted below the article?
|
Jeez some of those people are morons.
|
Read this article yesterday. Looks like theyre turning vehicles into devices you just sit in and it does everything for you :coffee:.
|
Remember the good old days when you drove the car.
|
I can't... maybe Jack could
I don't like all of this technology stuff. It makes it way too easy for people to find other distractions and do less to keep themselves safe behind the wheel. |
Whoever Paul is that left that comment on the story, he is a genius.

"Jacked up 4x4s really are silly. Don't these morons know that the lowest point on the truck is the rear differential?
These vehicles are dangerous on the roads and the owners probably have minimum or no insurance coverage because they tend to be poor and clueless. These morons don't care about gas mileage because most of them live off of lawsuits and their old ladies. The only problem with federally mandated stability control is that it will puss up the costs yet again in a time where they are not selling." Paul Paul = Dumba$$ |

Are you serious Paul? Everyone who lifts their truck is poor and clueless? Please open up your eyes and crawl out of that ignorant rock you are stuck under. If you are on this site, you should already know truck customization is a huge hobby/passion all over the world. If someone has the money to lift their truck, they aren't going to be hurting too much. We love trucks and we will do what we damn well please with them.
Posted by: Someone with Intellegence| Jul 24, 2009 12:28:31 PM Huh, seems, that the electronic guardian angels can not only help, but make things even worse... My car-philosophy is: the less electronic features in a car, the easier life You're having with it! If they want to push that damn stability control, make it first useful - the best way will be a (fully) turn off option, because not every car driver is an rookie or idiot. Don't get panic people - here in Europe the EU is having the same crazy idea! Posted by: ARON | Jul 24, 2009 1:35:14 PM Two good posts. Nice work JBMX928 and that guy ARON |
