When the government taxes/charges the rich extra? I thought that all men were created equal? I thought that in American we had the right to the pursuit of happiness? I'm not rich by any means in fact i work for this mis-guided administration. But I don't think just because some one went to college or took a risky investment or just worked there @$$ off should have to pay a predicted 50-60% extra tax.

I bring this up because people should be upset. We as a country need to let our congressmen/representives know that we don't want this.

So this is what everyone must of meant when they wore all the "change" t-shirts or have "change" stickers on there cars. Next time you see an Obama supporter ask them who's the vice president and I bet they wont be able to tell you.

We tax the rich more because our tax system is based on your income. Most people of that wealth to be considered "rich" understand what happens with the tax system when they hit that point. The problem with taxes is that a flat rate wont work because it will do the opposite of the tax system we have now. It will tax everyone equally but the "poor" and "middle class" will be eating most of the bullet, unless of course the flat tax was equivalent to the current tax rate of the "poor" or "middle class".

Just find the lewpholes like most people and avoid taxation on certain items legally

We need a flat tax with NO WRITEOFFS. That's as fair as it can get.

Ya i've heard of a few vids about people who voted for Obama but thought Hillary was his V.P. but I wouldn't believe it unless I was there. I'm sure it happened yes, but I'm sure McCain got some votes without people knowing his V.P. either, just because Obama was a black man. I don't consider myself hardcore Obama fan but yes I voted for him so therefore i support him. He is OUR president whether its what you wanted or not, just got to hope for the best.

i used my economic stimulus check to buy a new gun. actually several. thats the faith i have in what this idiot and his group of fools are going to do to the country.

wait till unemployment benefits run out and there are no jobs. and taxing the "rich" more jobs will be eliminated.

The name for taxes that are higher on the rich than the poor is 'a progressive tax.'

IMO, the economy is being bled to death by government spending and overly high taxes, many of which are hidden. Combined with high energy costs and high health care costs (thank you, trial lawyers), we are on the brink of another great depression.

And as the economy continues to tank, the federal government will continue to seize more power to 'save' us.

My advice to most of you is start preparing yourselves and your children for a dramatic reduction in your standard of living. That's change you can believe in.

And to think, Liberalism started when the first caveman who killed a bison, gave some to the caveman who didn't.

I'll just say this and continue to lurk. Most "rich" people got that way from working hard. The only way to really make money is to be in business for yourself or you just make money for someone else. So they have to have people to run those businesses. If you tax the rich to the point they can't hire new people or make them raise their prices so they lose customers, you have just killed our economy. Tax should be as fair and as little as possible.

BTW, we are a REPUBLIC, not a DEMOCRACY. I'm tired of hearing the word. Don't believe me? Say your Pledge of Allegiance and stop on the 16th word.

the annointed one definetly has an agenda. but he is not alone. all the senators and represenatives that vote for his policies are equally to blame. i will be paying attention to what mine do.

we had the honor of the rock stars presence here in nj today. he was supposed to be campaigning for the governor who hopefully loses, but spent the whole time talking up his health care ripoff.

The agenda seems to be to ruin capitalism and the economy. As the crap hits the fan, the majority of the people will blindly agree to give Washington DC more power, so that our political leaders can save us.

Basically we are on the Express Train to Socialism, driven by the liberal elite.

This path is even worse than the slightly slower train to Socialism we would be on under a Republican or a moderate rule.

There are still some conservatives and Constitutionalists out there, but nowhere near enough to stop the train.

taxes are gonna be so ridicolously high the regular working guy is gonna say" screw it" ill just go on welfae or assistance since those people live better than me already. doesnt obama understand if he keeps taxing the so called"wealthy" he gonna makes things worse. who creates most jobs. the small bussiness owner who worked his a$$ off to make a bussiness and hire people so they can buy homes, cars etc.. make a future.

Im not trying to attack YOUR intelligence i'm just asking the younger generation that was guided to vote my MTV's vote or die in witch most of the celebs voiced there support for Obama/Biden. Or because he was black. At times I catch myself thinking F no to Shara Palin just because shes a women, even when i agree with alot of her beliefs.

Yes hes younger then W. a MUCH better speaker but his views and policies are not what i believe are best for this nation.

It doesn't but what it does give you the ability to have time. Unless you just have a kick ass job and no life outside work then free time is what gives you that happiness be it with your family, friends or f-150
