I Just Can't Believe This
I can understand building codes and restrictions that require concrete drives, etc. I just do not understand how something like this can be enforced. Remind me to stay out of Toledo. That mayor needs to be in an institution.

Yeah, i read about that. Crazy.
|
Total, utter, nonsense...but, considering that Toledo has a minor-league baseball team called the "Mudhens", everything seems to fall into place...

With people this stupid in places of power, we, as a country, will fail.

Reminds me of something I read one time about an HOA citing a guy for parking his 80's suburban in his drive way. They were saying it was a commerical sized truck and it was agianst the rules. Funny thing was in the picture you could see the neighbors driveway and he had a 4 door F-350 with working rack and all kinds of crap an was as big if not bigger and they didnt cite him. It was a funny read.

That SOB will be paying my house note for me to obey that law. If not, he wouldn't the the mayor of my town anymore. He be the mayor of the fish at the bottom of a lake or something.
After going back and reading it again, is he a family member of Obama? |
You can start expecting this increase. FYI, new tax law says "If you have a company cellphone, you will now be taxed 25% of it's cost as part of your income" Only way around it would be to show receipts/invoices for Personal Cell Phone Bills.

didn't think they could write a ticket like that on your own property. but, of course, all they need is probable cause to enter the property and that reason can be anything these days
|
I read this today also. It reminds me of two summers ago here in NYC when they where giving people tickets for sitting on milk crates.
|
yea try that in texas, where out in the country thats all there is, is gravel roads. some peoples driveways are literally miles and miles of gravel road ;)
|
the nerve of some people...
|
Heard this on the news today. Seems the city is breaking its own law as their towing parking lot is gravel.

Mayor Carty Finkbeiner (FINK'-by-ner) says he stands by the citations handed out last week by the Division of Streets, Bridges and Harbor. He says the tickets were issued under a city law against parking on unpaved surfaces, including gravel driveways.
LOL LOL, Mayor Fink beiner, lol, too funny. Good for him, show those cheap so-and-so's that it's about time they get off their wallets and pave their driveway. We have 3 people in my city of 120,000 people with gravel driveways, and they are all shunned and treated like 2nd class citizens. Oh wait a minute, I'm one of the 3 people, and 2 of my friends are the other 2  I do have half my driveway paved, I'm saving up to do the rest :) |
