Mark Buehrle's truck

Look at this beast. White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle is one of my son's customers. He told me about this Ford F-650that he has parked in his driveway. I went by his house last week and saw it up close. This thing is massive.

"This titan is ten feet tall and weighs more than six tons. You need something akin to a commercial drivers license to thunder this monster on a road.
The Southpaw added four-wheel drive and some hydraulics that lower the bed to the ground. He didn’t say how much it exactly cost him, only divulging that it was in the six-

Two separate 60-gallon gas tanks, one on either side, means it's about 500 bucks to fill up. Yikes! "

No you don't. Private vehicles and "Non-Commercial" vehicles are exempt.

Nice truck though!

In Texas, any vehicle with a carrying capacity of more than 3/4 ton, requires a commercial license. Probably not the same everywhere.

Thats stupid. More than 3/4 of a ton? That is 1500 lbs. Do you need a commercial drivers license to drive a F250 or F350? no.

i drive a 1 ton box truck for work (furniture delivery) and don't have any special license...i haven't heard of any such license...

Thats because you dont need a license. You dont need one unless:

a) have a GVWR of 26,000lbs

b)Vehicle that transports 15+ including the driver

c) hazmat trucks

d)other various weird things (lengths, heights, ect.)

Ahhhhhh !!! Please ! No cell phone pics ! My eyes ! My eyes ! ;-)

But yea' those custom F650's are freaking bombastic !

Shaq's is awesome...... but just plain silver ? That thing probably cost $750K, and it's just plain silver ? WTF ? If you can afford a truck like that, get an effing' paint job, already ! What.... he didn't want it to > stand out < ? ;-) LOL

Peace,
Fish

Hey Stealth

Those are excessive
Hell yea' they are ! Exactly what I'd have if I could afford it ! :-)

Those pictures make me think of a question that was posed to Nick Rhodes, of Duran Duran fame, back in the 80's:

Q "Why do so many rock stars date super models?"

A: "Because they can!"
