Obama's approval rating dips below 60% for the first time
According to Gallup polling of Obama's approval ratings, his rating has dropped below 60% from a high of 69%.
The drop below 60% approval within the past week -- from 63% in Feb. 18-20 polling to 59% in Feb. 21-23 polling -- has mostly come among independents. Late last week, 62% of independents approved of Obama, compared with 54% in the last three days. His approval rating among Democrats has dipped slightly (but not to a statistically significant degree), while approval among Republicans has not changed. http://www.gallup.com/poll/116077/Ob...irst-Time.aspx |

I don't care who got elected, the President is going to have to make some very unpopular choices. Regardless of Democrat or Republican, the approval rating is sure to suffer. I didn't vote for the guy but I'm having more respect for him everyday. While I don't agree with some of his decisions, there is no doubt he stands by the decisions he has made. Around here, we call that being a man. That's almost refreshing in itself to see in Washington. I don't agree with the bailout but apparently he feels in his heart that what he is doing is the right thing for this country. I can only hope he is right and I'm wrong.
