WaSH Yer HaNd'S - GoMeR BreATH!........

It totally amazes me how many individuals will use the facilities and not WaSH their hands afterwards. They walk out of the stall step up to the counter, run their hand's under the water and then towel off or they just walk out. Especially the ones that straighten their hair, then walk out. This happens throughout the day. What really makes me want to PuKe is around LuNcH time. After witnessing the lack of personnal hygene you see that same individual eating a sandwich. Boy, now that must be delicious.

I'm not too shy, so Ive made it a habit to annouce rather loudly "Ya know they don't charge extra for the soap." ItZ unbelievable that you have to literly ShaME people into properly washing their hands.

I wash my hands before and after https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif most of the germs a person will catch will most likely come from touching a door knob or something...

A lot of people wash their hands BEFORE they go, cuz that way they wash all of the germs off of their hands before they touch themselves. They aren't touching their privates while they go. And, I know that MY body is clean!

I agree, one should wash their hands BEFORE using the bathroom and after.
example for you guys would be: My ex always worked on cars and when I did the laundry, he would always have greasy fingerprints on his 'shorts' so I could just imagine the hiegenic condition of his 'body'! (don't even try to say you don't touch it) Even if your hands look clean, whatever you touched that day will be transferred to your 'body' if you don't wash them before. And even if didn't pee on your self, your 'body sweat' (at the very least)is now on your hands and if you don't wash again, you have chosen to share that with the rest of the general public!
Thanks, but No thanks!
Anyway it is always my policy NOT to TOUCH anything in a public bathroom including the 'flusher' (use foot) as well as turning off the water, with bare hands. (paper towel or elbow)
Also exiting the room with out touching the door is a must! because once you touch it, you have just transfered the germs from the nasty people to yourself and who knows what THEY touched!

Actually, ATST has a point. Never touch anything in a restroom with your just washed hands. Use a clean paper towel to shut off the water and to open the door. I don't understand why they design restrooms with exits that open inward.

-This board never ceases to amaze me....

If you can believe it, Middlesex Community College in Mass. offers a fully credited course on washing hands. Leno actually had the 'professor' on his show one night to demostrate.

Who is going to start the thread about TP ?

54regcab Apr 16, 2000 08:05 PM

ATST already did that one:

And here's another one: https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000065.html

I'm sure this thread will be shut down just like the other 2

In my defense, I meant that 'other' thread sarcasticlly, and I didn't know that we couldn't delete topics anymore.

TColegrove Apr 17, 2000 12:35 AM

While I realize this thread is in the 'general discussion' area - are we really without any other topics to discuss? Who gives a damn if someone fails to wash their hands and then eats their lunch. I could care less - serves 'em right if they get a case of fabonga-fabonga disease.

Sometimes the heading "General Discussion" is interpreted a wee-bit too liberally in my mind. Maybe what we need are two General Discussion areas - one for truck related topics and another for people to rant.

This thread has been most helpful to me. In my culture, during a journey, it is customary to wash one's feet. At reststops along the interstate, while I am sitting in a sink washing my feet, it never fails that some big burly truck driver will come in and say,
"You dumb furineer! Don't you know we have crappers for that!"
I of course, am rocking back and forth, my eyes tightly closed, chanting prayers to the Dalai Lama. This is inevitably mistaken for constipation.

I now have the proper response,
"Ah, it is you. The Gomer Breath."

You walk around all day getting germs all over your hands and it dosent kill you. I can't see the harm if you get some on your unit. I do think you should wash before lunch though.

this reminds me of an old joke. Whats the difference between a mechanic and a doctor? A mechanic washes his hands before he pees,a doctor washes his hands after he pees.
