Lightbulb Changes in F150 for 2000

Anybody know the changes for the 2000 F150 good or bad?
I know they added an overhead console w/temp gauge and compass.
I have heard that HP on the 5.4L was up to 265 and they have changed the rear seat in the S/C.

------------------
99 XLT 5.4L reg cab
4x2 120" Wheelbase
4 wheel disc brakes/ABS
5 star larait style wheels

3.55 gears 255/70/16 OWL
Delta toolbox
Eclipse 5340 cd player
Memphis ARCS50 component speakers w/tweeters mounted flush in the door panels (excellent sound)
Sherwood 35x2 RMS amp for components.
Jensen 50x2 RMS for subs.
2 6.5" Bazooka tubes
Lowering shackles?

I have all of the dealer info for the 2000s...major differences are:

Driver side A-frame handle
Driver side visor vanity mirror
Overhead console
Back to 97/98 wheels for ORP
Change to cupholder/ashtray design
"Flip-up" rear seat instead of "flip-over"
New colors
Two-tone available with ORP
Better fuel economy (18 highway w/5.4 & ORP!!!)
No more 3.73 axle
Available payload pkg in lieu of F250 light duty

I like most if the changes except I'm not sure about the flip-up seat. The Toyota Tundra has this feature and it is terrible; when the seat bottom is flipped-up, it protrudes forward and takes up space that would be nice to have. The current Ford flip-down is great; it offers a smooth hard surface for useable loads and the entire are behind the front seats is useable. I hope Ford doesn't copy Toyota's poorly engineered design.

bodyside mouldings, Snugtop hard tonneau, K&N dropin.
Pending installation (on order)Nascar Penda bedliner.
Future mods: 2/4 lowering, bra and some Roush stuff.

Anyone buying a 2000, and thinking their getting the same flip over seats in the rear, forget it.
The new rear seats flip up and are cheap looking and less padding.
The legs that the seats go down on when in the sit position are about 8" high and are in the way, also the back of the seats are cheap, less padding.
I am disabled and used my flip overs all the time, not now...
I made a formal complaint to FMC as to their change without notification, due to being disabled, I'd probably have better luck pi__ing into the wind....

Has anyone seen (or ordered) the new options for the 2000s? I just saw there are two new options I've never seen before. The first is factory code 473, and includes color-keyed styled running boards, bug guard, and a bed liner. The second option (63L) is called the LARIAT UPGRADE PACKAGE and is only on Lariats (duh). It includes color-keyed molded running boards, *power* rear slider window, wood grain trim in the cab, and an electrochromic interior mirror.

I was just wondering, has anyone ordered these options on their new 2000?

FordLover..it should be 19 mpg on the highway for the 5.4L...at least that is what is printed on my window sticker. 15 mpg in the city.

They redesigned the rear sliding window and it seems to be much, much better.

The flip up seats are just fine. I did not like them at first...as my 98 had the flip over seats. They are just fine to me. It seems that there is not as much storage space under the rear seats though.

They are offering the Dark Graphite interior in 2000..which is what I ordered..and it looks much better than the medium graphite interior of my 98.

The extra storage in the overhead console is great.

The computer coded keys will help slow down a potential thief. I have heard that the keys are over $60.00 if you lose one though.

Mid year models are supposed to have power adjustable pedals.

54regcab:
You are incorrect. The tire size for the Sport Option, as mentioned on the other post, remains P275/60R17 on the same rims as they've had before.
Another change for the 2000 Sports are a leather wrapped steering wheel, and a unique sport cloth fabric.

2000 XLT Black Sport, Flareside, 2WD, Ext. Cab, 5.4L Auto. Other factory options: 3.55 LS, Class III tow, 6-way Captains chairs w/CD changer, Remote entry , and Slider window.
Mods: Undercoat, window tint, headlight & tail light covers, removed "Sport" decals, upgraded Triton tailgate emblem, Linex spray-in bedliner, and an ARE LSII lid.
Wish list: Flowmaster duals, K&N FIPK, and a Belltech 3/4 drop.

Seems to me Ford did better on the 99's than 2000's
