So last year I bought a new out board tiller motor for my 15' Aluminum boat. It's a 2007 Mercury 25 HP EFI 4-Stroke. I got every option available on it (electric start, etc) except the power tilt, which was a huge mistake on my part. This motor is impossible to "manually" tilt up while I'm on the boat on the water by myself. I have to lift up that metal piece and at the same time yank the motor up. Does anyone know if you can add a power tilt kit to this motor? I've searched around online but haven't has much luck finding anything. I do plan on calling the dealer I bought the motor from, but wanted to check and see if the experts on this site could relay some information. Thanks.

 

I'm not familiar with that particular engine but I don't remember seeing an outboard that couldn't be retrofitted. Obviously, your dealer is going to know.

 

Good point, I guess my only limitations is what I'm willing to pay.
