Hi everybody. back from my run up to glorious Milwaukee WI and I have a few observations, as I haven't driven OTR for a couple of years and I know there are at least a few other drivers out there and also non drivers who live in these states. was wondering if you can clear some things up

1. This one is for the CDL drivers out there I have not been otr for about 4 years now when did almost all drivers stop waving when passing/getting passed it seems like everyone is in a snit and just out for themselves they don't flash- blink lights, the truck stops are crapped up dirty and the fuel islands, there is no courtesy driver sit at the pumps and go inside to get food, soda, go to the bathroom, etc instead of pulling up to the pay line.
on sat i stopped in Oklahoma city loves and it took me a 1.5hrs to get from the freeway to back on the freeway (I-40 xit 140) and I fueled and went (no receipt req) never even went in one driver I saw getting into his truck parked at the fuel island had wet hair and was carrying a duffel bag like he had went in to take a shower without parking, like I said I've been out for a few years mostly doing local work. So is this a new thing, or has it been going on for awhile. any way just a few thoughts on that


2. OK in order here we go New Mexico I will say one thing for you at least your consistent very nice that you are done with the construction in las cruces and it is some pretty good blacktop way to go


3. Texas I will say even though I have a soft spot for for you I have one tensy problem why in all that is holy does it take you so long to do a damm highway project I-40 in Amarillo you have been working on that s h!t for at least 3-4 damm years and its not done yet WTF!


4. Oklahoma what can I say Texas takes forever to fix a road but at least thy try, now lets look at this there is in my estimate 1000 trucks a day Probably more on the turn pikes between okc-Tulsa-Joplin now 1000 trucks x $28.50 each is $28500 a day at least X 365 days in a year is $10,402,500 a year can we please not have a kidney busting trip Joplin to okc huh


5. Missouri I have to ask how the ******* can you have the most per capita of both Jesus billboards and porn shops. Who decided the battle for good and evil was going to be decided in Missouri, great bar b que, but damm either lay off of Jesus or porn one of the two


6. Illinois, land of Lincoln, can you please drop the 55 truck speed I mean why should I have to take a pay cut in your state because some retard told you years ago that if all the vehicles go the same speed it is too dangerous well I am about to try to organize a convoy since you usually only have 2 lanes we get 500 trucks to go 54 in the right lane and 500 to pass them at 55 and f-up your whole damm commute traffic at varied speeds is dangerous it is only on the coasts and in a few dumb ass states like IL and OH that where they think it is a good idea to do this

7. Wisconsin eh you guys are OK I guess other some humidity that had me sweating my balls off at 6:30 am no real complaints


any way just a few personal observations on my little trip and to say hello to everybody all at once now I'm going to go catch up on all the posts Ive missed since Fri afternoon :thumbsup:

I worked in the busiest truck stop in Montana while going to college and I'll say this. It wasn't as bad at our stop as it was down there. We do have some rude drivers that stay parked on the island, or they'll pull to the pay line and spend so long inside that the driver behind them is blocked and is waiting on them to leave. I kept a decent eye out there and if I saw this happening you'd get called over the loud speaker and I'd tell you to move your truck. Also, I'd always ask if they had parked before I'd give them a key to one of the showers.

Next time complain to a manager at the truck stop, they should be doing something out there to keep the trucks moving in and out.

Side note, it seemed to me to be mostly foreign born truck drivers as the most likely to park at the aisle. The Russians were probably the worst offenders.

More and more driver's either in 4 or 18 wheeler's suck at driving and courtesy on the highway is almost a thing of the past. I thought about getting back on the road a few year's ago and I'm glad I didn't.

Rocker Town Pump/Pilot. Right outside Butte on I-15 and I-90.

been there alot too and I'll have to say for the "fast food truck stops" ie pilot, loves, bp, town and country etc pilot is the most consistantly clean and organised, and on top of what is going on at the fuel island and quick turns on the showers, and freindly staff
