Tank wasn't even empty. That is all.

Screw-Me-05 05-17-2008 02:08 PM

Is that gasoline or diesel? My stations around here are $4.19 for gas and $4.49 for diesel

scott1981 05-17-2008 02:10 PM

Thats terrible but some of us are not that far away from ya. I ran off $93 last Friday. $100 is my breaking point, that is when I will start to bitch about pricing

last5oh_302 05-17-2008 02:14 PM

I paid $107 the other day for 3/4's of a tank, regular.

ThumperMX113 05-17-2008 02:37 PM

$50 bucks and I'm completely full with 93 octane !! :)

Get a job where they pay for your gas. I did.

Patman 05-17-2008 06:24 PM

I paid 42.23 for less then half a tank of 87. 3.65 at a chevron

Stealth 05-17-2008 06:27 PM

I filled mine up for 95 bucks the other day, less than 1/8 tank left. Can't wait for the road trip to the coast for vacation in July.

Or have them give you an allowance every month towards what ever vehicle you want is even better

risupercrewman 05-17-2008 08:15 PM

They gave me a brand spankin new 2008 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor at work, & they even pay for the gas I use everyday also!............

dkstone05 05-17-2008 08:23 PM

Don't come to Indianapolis. 4.49 - 4.59 for diesel. $3.85-$3.95 gas. If the TA didn't take premium only I would start diving it as a DD. Oh well not to much of choice just have to pay $115 or so for fill ups.

Why did they give you a new car if you're supposedly retiring in summer?

My Dept fleet guru, is looking into Police Package Chargers with 5.7 HEMI's......he says they are $3000.00 cheaper that the Police Crown Vic, & only idle on 4 cylinders with the cylinder de-activation system........may have to stay a while more & drive one of those beasts on a persuit!............

BigMan 05-18-2008 11:45 AM

aren't there some sort of pursuitg laws where you are?

It will make as much a difference as a drop in the bucket will.

At todays prices a drop is about 20¢.

On a side note you all should see what oil cost for the aircraft, well military aircraft. Figure about $100 a quart. seriously

It gets better as long as I keep my foot out of it, but the price difference between regular and premium takes away most of the savings for driving it.

Stealth 05-18-2008 11:03 PM

I have an old 1991 Ford Probe GT that hasn't been driven in almost a year. I was going to just sell it, but I think I am going to have to make it roadworthy again and drive it to work again instead of the truck. It gets around 28 MPG, but it takes 93 octane since it's turbocharged. Maybe I'll save a little money that way.

po1911 05-18-2008 11:47 PM

I know what you mean I wish like hell I didnt sell my sentra a year and a half ago it was 97 paid for for several years still runs like a top with over 200000mi on it and still getting 34mpg combined but my father in law needed a car so I sold it to him and now I kick myself in the butt for not hanging onto it

Yeah, my Probe GT has around 200,000 miles on it, but it'll be needing some TLC real soon. It has CV boot that's been torn for a few years now, and the clutch is about shot, and both PW units are broken, leaks a little oil, but none of that is anything I can't handle DIYing, I just lack the motivation.

No kidding. I think I'll be getting tags and an inspection by the holiday weekend.

zachespo 05-19-2008 03:10 AM

Didn't take any pictures of my last fill up but it was right around $150. And i think that it was 4.70/gal. Just driving around today I saw a station that was at 4.89/gal. This is for diesel though.
