Cell tower that was leaving from Belle Chasse. In my 23 yrs of working there I probably shipped a few thousand loads from that location. We stayed busy from sunup to sundown and we even had lights to night load if needed.

Here's a song by a group from San Antonio....Talk To Me by Sunny and the Sunglows. Like a lot of other groups they were squeezed out by the British Invasion and the Motown groups in the mid 60's.

Good music. I remember Talk to Me. Buddy Holly had a song, Think it Over, but different song.

Sunny Ozuna was great at covering songs. He was produced by Huey Meaux from the Lafayette area who also handled a lot of the swamp pop singers from that era. I think Freddy Fender came along after Sunny. These guys came along at a bad time in history to make it big due to the British and Motown artists.

Here's a big Jimmy Clanton hit from that era he re-did.

Doug Sahm was one of the few that was able to adapt. Sir Douglas Quintet, bunch of guys from San Antonio. Had "She's about a Mover". Later he reverted back to his country rock.

Yep..Doug was in that same group as Sunny. Sir Douglas Quintet kind of sounds British so they made a good move at the time. Freddy Fender made his move in the late 60's and early 70's and hit it pretty big.

Closed on two houses simultaneously today. Sold one, then moved to the other side of the table and bought one lol. Spent the rest of the day moving. Still more to move tomorrow. Exhausted, but grateful to be in the new place tonight.

The uhaul I rented is a brand new F-650 with the V10. Forgot they still made the V10 for commercial use. I've had a good bit of fun driving it around.
