Reckless and Daring Drivers

Yesterday I was picking up some stuff at a Home Depot that was about 60 miles away... so I had to go from Utica to Dewitt NY. I was going up, and my dad was in front of me, and I was following him. There was this guy in a Buick Regal and he was stuck behind a car that was behind me. So it was single lane road with double yellows. Anyhow, the driver I guess was having a road rage problem, and the guy behind me looks like he slowed down or something... well, that really made this guy ticked off. So after there was somewhat of a clearing, he came out and passed the car that was behind me, and was attempting to pass me, but little did he know that my truck was blocking my parent's Compass. Well there was a nice big fully loaded Peterbilt coming down the other lane. So luckily, I was on the the phone with them, and I warned them that this crazy guy in a Regal was playing God or something. The guy was next to me, a Peterbilt was about 300 ft from hitting him... so I tell my dad to pull over to the shoulder, I lay on my brake and downshift, just at the right time, or this idiot would've been ultra road kill. So you'd think this guy would learn... nope, he was attempting fate again, this time almost taking out my parents!

So we were coming back home with the stuff from HD, and I was following them home again, and I had this freakball that decided he would just ride my tail, and I mean like less than 5 ft away and I am travelling at close to 60 mph. Next thing I know he's passing me on the shoulder. Yes, on the shoulder... and he tries wedging himself between me and my parents. I didn't let him in, and finally he was about to hit something, and slammed on his brakes and his whole car went sideaways almost taking out a car behind me.

Like WTH is going on? Is 60 in a 55 not good enough!? OR do people want to kill themselves?

Yea I'm a **** to those people I put the pedal to the floor and force them to cut back in behind me Some ahole tried to pass me on a 2 lane road double yellow with hills and I was already doing 5 over the limit. Well I floored it and flicked him off so he had to cut back in behind me I love messing with drivers like that they are complete jerks and need to learn their lesson IMO. Now sometimes it would put people in danger for me to be a jerk so I will back down and just let them go. If the situation becomes unsafe I'll let it go, but nothing pleases me more than keeping those aholes behind me and doing the speed limit Now if it's a dashed yellow then sure they can go no problem, but a double yellow!!!!

Because as you know, old POS Buick, Cavalier, Corsica, Trans Am, Camero, Grand Am etc. are the choice vehicle for those who have been in jail, had a DUI, live in a trailer park or are illegals, they seem to be selling at every "Buy here pay here" $50.00 a week car lot. Which means watch out, they most likely will have a Safe Auto sticker, which caters to those type of people with no credit or job and have to pay for car insurance on a credit card.

Just venting, you see it a lot around here, more so in the ghetto parts of town.

Sum of the regals are supercharged!!! and can hull some *****! But yeah the only time i ever tailgate someone is a semi truck to draft them and save some gas but when i do that im like 20FT away. i hate people that drive like that.... sometimes if ive had a really bad night or something ill do like 90-95 on the 4 lane highway at like 1AM so there arent that many cars i dont do it during the day and go in and our of cars.... But blasting heavy metal and driving fast with the windows down is always a good thing to help me not be so mad

Do you realize even if it's a double yellow, what you did is illegal? I've seen people come really close to getting hurt because of people like that. Just let them pass. Not to mention, there are a lot of crazy people who don't think twice about pulling a trigger. Doing something like that would just be an open invitation for them to kill you.

Actually there are Regals that are supercharged. As well as the GNs which are turbocharged etc.

Yeah my friend has a 94 or 96 Buick regal and it has a supercharger stock from the factory. Buick supercharged some random cars haha. The regal is kinda like the Ford thunderbird they have about the same supercharger. i saw one at my junk yard on a regal and my friend has it and it hauls!!

When I drive my gas saver car, it's really low to the ground and it REALLY pisses me off when people drive 10 feet behind me, especially at night. They do this because I try to drive the speed limit to avoid tickets. I will just slow to 5 below the limit and make them pass.

Really makes me mad to see people complain about gas prices when they get on the road and drive with the pedal to the metal.

I don't think it was F/I on that Regal... because it was slower than dog poop.

JBMX928 - I wish I could've gotten the plate number... I asked my parents and they didn't remember. It was the common tan Regal though... so it might've been.

McLovin - I don't blame you about people putting the pedal to the metal and gas prices are sky high you'd think people would drive like grannys.

But I think more and more people do 5+ mph over anyways.

But the reckless driving part... there's no call for it.

Yep I think the amount of crack ***** on the road has increased ten fold in the last ten years. It goes along with rudeness in society altogether. People are rude, in a hurry to go nowhere, and don't care if they kill someone getting there. Sad, sad disertation on todays people. But sometimes they just kill themselves, proving that the gene pool has a habit of weeding out the worst!

You spelt CAMARO wrong. And I have no clue why you think every Camaro owner is a felon, border hopper or redneck, or why you think they're a POS car. I know plenty of people with LT1/LS1 90's and early 00's Camaros that are in great shape and are pretty damn fast. Those 5.7L V8's are no joke...
