Chainsaw?

What is a good homeowners chainsaw? Use it a couple of times a year. I had a Poulan leaf blower for years. It finally gave out. so I bought a new one just like the old one and at the same time, bought their chain saw. The carburator kept falling off the leaf blower, so I threw it away. The chain saw, I have used twice before today and it would not start. Not getting fuel, not even any in the primer bulb. Ended up using my old worn out McCulloch. I will never buy another Poulan product. Is Stihl about the best?

I've got a small Poulan Patriot 1900 chainsaw... never had a problem with it..

But I've got a Stihl for the larger jobs...

Stihl. Their the only brand we used for every type of accessory (weed eater, chain saws, etc) that we used when I worked landscaping for 2 summers. They are one of the best, plus it's not hard to find parts.

If you're in the market for a leaf blower, check out their new 4-mix blowers. Dad got their biggest one last fall, that thing will make your back sore after using it

Husqvarna... ran it almost every day last summer when I bought my house. Ran like a champ the whole time and not one minutes trouble.

We had to take my dad's chainsaw from him after he cut his ankle with it! Old(er) men and chainsaws don't mix.

Apparently, some of us age faster than others. So far, I have not cut anything I wasn't aiming at.

My Dad is no longer allowed to use nail guns and powered staplers... he stapled his hand a few months ago.

I hope I grow old and not do some stupid things to myself.... wait... I already do!

Stihl.

When you're ready for a tool... not a toy.

Prolly why my Patriot hasn't died yet... it's actually older than my Stihl... and I've cut more stuff with it, surprisingly.

Echo also makes a good unit. Husquavarna used to own Poulan, but then sold them to another holding company. The Husky pro grade stuff is good, but the homeowner stuff is only okay.
