KFC's new version of extra crispy

Sorry if this is a repost but I haven't seen it as of lately and it has been all over the news here locally.

A KFC Manager dumps a pot of boiling water on a homeless man to get rid of him. Homeless man is now suing...

I hope he wins. There are many more HUMANE ways to address these types of issues IMO. Nobody deserves what this guy got.

ManualF150 Nov 30, 2007 01:51 PM

I'm glad to see that a homeless man might have a chance to get a new life. Just unfortunant... but the manager could've slayed him with a knife and fed him to the customers.

Arctic Cat F7 Nov 30, 2007 01:52 PM

thats aweful. What would make her do that?? I hope he takes her for everything!

I live in downtown dallas and I HATE homeless people. I know they are unfortunate and all that but I dont care. I swear every time I go to a gas station they are all over me like flies on chit. And the worst part is that most of these homeless people are perfectly able to walk and move. I say they should go and WORK! I know they can go work and get paid daily at a labor pool type place. Its not my fault they are homeless and not my responsiblity to take care of them. And on a side note if I were homeless I would move to keywest where its warm all year. But I guess they arent smart enough to figure that out hence the fact they are homeless.

I wouldnt pour boiling water on them but I do feel like kicking them sometimes.

I'll usually vote against the plaintiff just because of the numerous law suits with out a good ground.

If it went down as he and the witness says it went down, then in this one particular case has some merit. I would be for the plaintiff. If it was like that then I hope he gets her home, her car and everything. I also hope she losses her job and cant get another one because now she can't shower. I want her on the street having to beg and/or prostitute for money if it went down like that. Literally make them change shoes.

On an emotional decision, I hope Yum has to pay out the nose too. Just because I don't like Yum Inc. as a company. I do enjoy Taco bell and Pizza Hut often but the parent company "Yum Inc" has dirtier business practices than wal-mart. IMHO Every one complains about Wal-Mart only because they know about them. Most don't even know YUM. Yum offers little back to the community. We would be better off as a society if they dispersed and each sister chain became an independent chain of it's self. IMHO

Dave they can't get jobs because the Bush administration is more concerned about getting other countries back on their feet and helping the illegal Mexicans get jobs than trying to help our own that are struggling.

INFireRedF150 Nov 30, 2007 02:56 PM

Turns out the homeless man is a US Veteran of the Navy. Judging by his face he looks like one of the many Vietnam veterans that society forgot. The reasons why he isnt working may be numerous. Lingering Shell Shock could be one of them. I also noticed he had a cane so mobility is impaired. I have had homeless people flock to me and I dont give them money because there has been cases where one of the homeless wasnt homeless but armed and robbed people that pullet out their wallets or purses. It is sad. However, that manager needs to die. Change her name to Gibbons, claim she is a British teacher, and feed her to the Sudanese hard-liner muslims wanting death for someone allowing kids to name a teddy bear after their supreme prophet.

 Do you even have the slightest clue as to what the unemployment rate is? I bet not. Additionally I'd bet you have no clue as to what the unemployment rate should be. Thats right it has to be high enough to allow for a healthy economy. For your information its within a percent or two of the "ideal" figures. Same as it was for the clinton admin.

Besides, aren't wartime economies supposed to boom not bust? Didn't we see the largest growth of new homeowners ever (not his fault people can't control their credit and spending habits and now are foreclosing due to overextension of credit). Go to ANYWHERE there is petroleum industry and you can get a job, probably that same day (provided you can pass a drug test). No experience, sorry they'll only pay you about $12-15/ hour to train.

I agree man. Gas is rediculous, yet we are beating the crap out of countries that have the majorities of the oil. Why the hell don't we take it over...? We beat their ass, build their crap back, and don't get anything in return except for coffin after coffin of our loved ones that have died over there fighting idiots that shoot at you for trying to help them...? We can't stop spending ass loads of money on a damn war because it is so important that we find the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" so Bush can clear some of the retard out of his name and actually look like he has done some good, before he gets out of office. We could be spending that money elsewhere, as in education, and helping out the unfortunate and not sending it all overseas to help out people that would rather us die than get any money from us

DLM Nov 30, 2007 06:56 PM

Never listen to a 17 year old regarding politics. If we did that, this country would be in some serious ****. "It's Bush's fault, no wait the economy's good, now it sucks, wait!" Seriously, no offense intended but when I was 17 I couldnt make up my mind for ****.

Sounds like someone's been feeding you a WHOLE lot of BS.

jk007 Nov 30, 2007 09:43 PM

You guys are spinning this into another polical debate...So many threads are going this way. It just gets redundant after a while.

Fact is we will always have homeless people, especially around major metropolitan areas. No matter great things are in the good ole' US of A.

But there has to be better ways to deal with the it than this. This guy got seriously OWNED, and I hope he takes it to the bank.
