Can't pick a Presidential Candidate

I know that elections are not too far away, and Politics is like Religion. A touchy subject. SO I thought for those who do not like a particular candidate at the moment, they might take a look and/or consider Dr. Ron Paul.

www.ronpaul2008.com

A friend mentioned him to me saying he has spent most of his time endorsing this person for the Presidency and sent me the link. I was reading at what Dr. Paul believes and stands for and I was very impressed. More so than I can say for ANY current candidate. For those on the fence you might give the link a quick look if you'd like.

When I was young I once voted for Ross Perot. Thankfully he didn't win.

I see the appeal for Ron Paul for some, but something tells me that he wont be on the ballot in '08.

I don't believe he will be either, not enough money raised and perhaps not enough corporate sponsorship. I really like his views on several subjects. It might boil down to the bigger players.

Thanks for the correction. I did not KNOW that. I had heard in the news Obama and Hillary were in the 20+ million category. And on his website he is trying to raise 12 million. What is that about? I like the guy. I actually registered to vote, after reading his website. I don't know if he just got off to a late start, or has enough backing because of some of the changes he wants to make. He has some very good opinions about trying to change the country for the better.

Giuliani is in trouble from his own NYFD and NYPD beacuse they blamed him for funding cuts on equipment that caused casualties and they were poorly prepared for 9/11. I believe I had heard in the news. He does not appear like an honest individual to me. At least from what the news has mentioned of his behavior and past dealings. It is difficult to really " know" the candidates because it always seems, most don't follow through on their so called promises. Clinton and Obama will most likely try to ban guns, and that's a big NO NO in my book.

That would take an act of Congress.

Why, the only way it could possibly happen without going thru congress is if some vague reference to the PATRIOT ACT was invoked.

Nothing like that couldn't happen, could it?........

Thanks for the support. For that, we're giving you a flight on the campaign jet.

If you're lucky, Jess might be hitchin' a ride that day.

One thing is for sure, if a Liberal gets into the White House, the Right will fall out of love with that Patriot Act, damn fast.

2010 State of Union:

"...and so my fellow Americans, as your Commander in Chief I am invoking articles of the Patriot Act to temporarily place into suspension two items that clearly pose a great risk to our Nations security, handguns and V8s.
We have already identified all locations of these items through our extensive wiretapping program, so wisely expanded by my predecessor. All will be confiscated and our Country made safe, or my name isn't Osama...errr...Obama.
