Maybe it's just me.

Hello all, I was searching earlier for some info, and it just amazes me how so many people go to the trouble of setting up an account, posting a question, interacting with members, and then never post again. They don't post the resolution of the problem, a thank you for time spent on them, nothing. I just don't get it. Not to mention it makes it harder for me to resolve my own problems. Oh well, carry on. Peace, Dave.

LOL!!

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing.. they pass like crackheads in the night.. what was that?.. nothing.. ok..

Agreed it would be nice if they said, "hey, thanks that worked..", or "hey, thanks that made my engine explode.."

:beers:

   Unscheduled, uncontained, detonation. I hate when that happens. Peace, Dave.

Kind of like that show on VH1. One post wonders.

Sometimes it's the 'shotgun' effect.

When someone turns to website(s) for help, they could possibly be posting on a dozen different sites at the same time trying to get quick resolution and there are dozens of sites like this. They interact where the help comes from and it isn't always this site.

You probably see more of this than others because you have a 1990 model and that is not this sites forte. It caters more to 1997 & up here.

That's just the reality of forums. I'm guilty of doing it on a couple occasions. The people who do that are most likely not really into their truck, they just want to make it work again. The people who actually stick around here want to learn more about their own truck, and are usually pretty knowledgable as well.

I kind of see those people as the type who take their car to a shop for brakes. Many of them expect a cut-and-dry solution to their problem. When they realize there isn't one, they leave and probably go to a mechanic.

While this is certainly going on, there is still more than a few mannerless twerps in comfortable residence here, who ask a lot of questions, are too lazy to search, and when spoon-fed the answers, don't possess the common courtesy to offer any sort of acknowledgement.

In essence, a fine cross-section of humanity in general.

I am learning to ignore those idiots

Well I, for one, thank all of you for your input. However, I still don't have an answer as to why Ford is better than Chevy. Oh well, ignorance is bliss, I suppose. Happy Thanksgiving all. Peace, Dave.
