Anyone play Rugby??

My roommates and I are joining the rugby team and I was wondering if there are any ruggers here?

Ive neve played, but I was a wrestler in high school and Ive heard that wrestling skills are an asset in this sport. I know very little about rugby.
Anyone got any inputs?

When I was in high school our football coach played rugby on the weekends. He was one of the baddest ***** we'd seen, and he came home looking like a butchered bag of buttholes on several occasions. So, I quickly decided rugby was not for me...

I remember the old shirts that said "Give Blood! Play Rugby!"

I played the entire time I was in school and I was on the school team. I was a forward and played second row, #8 or sometimes a winger. Its a great game to play and you'll have fun. The only injuries I suffered besides bumps and bruises were a couple of broken fingers but I saw quite a few broken noses. We took the game very serious and were very competitive but If your playing for fun them it wont be quite as brutal.

Thats how it was at my old school. The coaches for the football team and lacrosse team were great buddies so they let the football players join the lacrosse team for offseason training. It was kind of cool to be defensive team mates with line men.
