Hey! Indians Fans, We're Really Not That Bad!
Just when I thought the Tribe had cornered the market on losing, there is a small ray of bright light!
The Philadelphia Phillies are the first MLB team to reach the 10,000 loss mark! http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/recap?gameId=270715122 OK Tribe, let's not try too hard to be the second team to reach that mark. Tim C. |
Now if only those damn Mets would lose a game or two, Atlanta would get back on top where we belong. :)

I remember watching the Braves---is the coach that sat in the duout and rocked back and forth the entire game still with them?

Try being a Rangers fan..
Not sure where we are in the loss column (including Senators days), but it HAS to be right up there, and gettin' worse every damn day. Some Fox Sports radio guy was just talking about the Phillies historic loss, he played the call of the final out by both the Cards announcer and the Phillies announcer. The Cards guy said it immediately, "that makes ten thousand losses for the Phillies, most in the history of sports!" The Phillies guy made no mention of it whatsoever.. LOL And yeah, Bobby Cox is still skipper of the Braves. :beers: |

He's a pitching coach and worth every penny. When pitcher is under him, the pitchers numbers improve and when the pitcher leaves the numbers go down. As a coach, put it on a spreadsheet and it's all the resume you need to write your own ticket. |
Quote from espn.go.com Everything's bigger in Texas (except for baseball's third-smallest ticket prices), including the Rangers' postseason demons. In 46 years, the franchise has never won a playoff series. In fact, it's only won one measly playoff game. And ballpark patrons are supposed to believe a new skipper (Ron Washington) who has no big league managing experience and spent most of his playing career with old AL West rival Minnesota is going to change that? Locking up stud shortstop Michael Young (5 years, $80 million) helps Ranger rooters sleep a little easier, but if Mark Teixeira got his, too? That'd be big. The Texas rangers rank higher than the Dallas cowboys in fan satisfaction ratings. |
Yep, but we have #116; the Browns (otherwise known around the west side of Cleveburgh as "The Clowns.")
PS---Thanks, Raoul---now I remember. Tim C. |

Same owner?!? Double the Ranking??? Hawks should be last or next to last. Thrashers - who cares it is hockey. |
Whenever the Indians win a game it always reminds me of the movie Major League. Hoorayy for Pedro Cerrano and jobu  !
|
It's a classic!
Major League, that is...Dennis Haysbert (Pedro Cerrano) has certainly moved up to Allstate commercials and the TV series, "The Unit."
The movie still reminds me of how awful we were---now we ain't too shabby. I have the movie on DVD and watch it at least 4 times a year. Tim C. "I say, Fu#$ you, Jobu!" "I told you we should have used a live chicken." |

The irony of th4e movie was that it was filmed in old Milwaukee county Stadium Cleveland Municiple Stadium was unfortunately (or fortunately) unavailable for shooting. Glad they tore that SOB down.
