What the hell is wrong with people these days? Unfortunately I could post a message every day with a new story that is just as terrible or a lot worse. I'm just sick of people like this.

THIS is how 3 years olds should live. This is a photo from about a week ago - my boy enjoying a chocolate shake. Happy and care free...being a 3 year old and being loved...

I know what it must be about, I won't look at it. :coffee: I can't take that stuff. As Ray Wylie Hubbard says in one of his songs, "why is it so easy to have a child?"

Be carfeul flashing that pic in public Lariat. Some health food nuts will will send Child Protective Services against you for endangering your kid's health with junk food.

One can only hope that the child is still young enough so said events are not retained within her memory and the scars become foreign to her as she grows older. Unfortunately, tragedies like this happen everyday all over the world; most going undetected. It happens so often that society has almost become desensitized to such actions (much like what others were talking about in the thread the other day about a woman being left to die on the floor of a 7-eleven). I see this type of stuff day-in and day-out. I hate to say it, but it doesn't surprise me anymore when we receive calls like this.

Yep, exactly.

I still would like to know what we've become....the human race that is...

People have said that things like this happened just as often in the past but we just didn't hear about it back then because news coverage is so widespread these days. Even if that's true, it doesn't make it any better. If just baffles me how parents or anyone else can treat a child like that...or even an adult. It seems as though some people have absolutely no compassion at all. I don't understand it. All I do understand is that I wish people like that didn't exist. I need a Staples "Easy" button to make them all disappear :)

I think they should be thrown in the ring with Chuck Liddell. I think they need to feel some real pain.

I takes alot for me to get sick to my stomach and that just did it.... Cant wait until the people in prison find out what he did to a little girl, needless to say he might be missing some parts of his body sometime soon.

Just touching on this subject a little. You're right and I see all the time those health nuts saying how bad "Fast Food" is for children which is true to some degree but if they're active it's not as bad as they make it seem. I had fast food when I was little, I played sports, I was healthy as could be and still am.

There's no way my son will get fat. The kid refuses to eat most of the time. He's more interested in playing. It's a challenge every time we sit down to eat. Oh he WILL eat if you want to offer him cake or milk shakes...but we don't give him much of that of course. Anyway, he's skinny as a rail and unless he changes his eating habits, always will be. I give him a Flintstone's vitamin every day and he usually gets a bottle of chocolate Pediasure too because of his not wanting to eat much. At least he's getting his vitamins and minerals. Now if only I could adopt his eating habits!...LOL I sure need to.

Thanks to that douche bag who deserves to rot, that little girl will not be able to have a normal life. Since the surgery wasn't able to completely fix her ear/lip, it means a lifetime of "what happened to your ear and lip" questions for her. Im with Jamz...just give me 5 minutes.

People are changing at a rapid rate. As much as I want kids when I'm older I'm kind of scarred to have them now. Who know's what the world is going to be like in 5 or 10 years. Since Saturday we have had 6 shootings/stabbings just in Baton Rouge. Looks like I might have to start packin heat myself. One guy that worked at Olive Garden was helping a co-worker after they closed one night, someone drove up askin for their wallets etc...They gave them all their money with no hassle, then the guy shot them and drove off. This happened a few months ago in a pretty good part of town. You can never tell nowadays when some dumbass is going to decide it's your turn...
