Vader's going to love this . . . my Mac crashed.
It's never happened before (as far as OSX goes), but my new Intel Mac crashed.
https://www.f150online.com/galleries...504-189713.png I have always said my Mac has never crashed and always been quite proud of that fact . . . but now it has. :( And hey . . . you gotta give me points for reporting it. Maybe it's an Intel thing (it's the Intel one that crashed . . . ) https://www.f150online.com/galleries...504-163735.jpg |
Its not an Intel thing for sure. Our G5s drop like flies on occasion. I'm just really surprised it took you this long to experience one.
On the bright side, its not a 'sad mac'... |
Props for admitting it.
I take no joy in your computing hard ships... 'scuse me for a second... Ok... Wow sorry to hear that. Is there a log that shows what happened? I'm curious if it could be the processor. |

Actually, I had it a lot in the last version of OS 9 (which is why I switched to WindowsXP back then . . . OS 9 wasn't the most stable thing on the planet (they were busy releasing OSX and didn't pay the attention they should have to us old school folk), I didn't like the looks of OSX when it first arrived, didn't want to learn something new . . . XP was a lot like old Mac OS (copycats) and it was a lot faster than the Mac (especially when OSX first came out) so it was a no brainer . . . it was XP for me. Sorry . . . got rambling there . . .

However, it happened again and I notice now that it happened both time when I let the MacBook sit and it went into screensave mode. Don't know if that has anything to do with it but I turned screensaver off and now we'll see if it happens again. If you know anything about calling up logs in OSX, let me know and I'll check. |
