2008 f-150's
 

i want to order a new 2008 harley f150. i have upwards of 10 dealers in houston that do have 07 harleys aval but not with options that i want. they claim that no more orders for 07's are being taken for the harley...

so the question is when are the 08's coming out???

i hope they do not stop making it, better yet they need to up the power on it to be like the 02-03 models

Have you talked with a salesman about a dealer search or are you just looking at the dealer inventories?

Ordering for regular 2008 models should open in May or June. I don't know about the HD.

yes i have...none out there with the exact options i want...had my current ride for 6 years and settled for an avalible truck. i am not going to make that mistake again... i will order the truck with exactly what i want...seems all aval have sliding back window, tow pack, awd, and no navi system or with a sun roof. i dont want sliding man/power back window and do want a navi system and rear dvd. and dont want awd or a sun roof. and it has to be black!!! not purple.

There are four of em' lined up outside of a local dealership here. I'm in Los Angeles though.

In my experience if you have the sunroof you will want the power slider. On mine with the sunroof open but not the slider I get resonance from the back of the cab. Just cracking the rear window lets enough pressure out to stop the resonance.

yes i did a nation wide search for aval at my dealer...i want new not a demo hd 4x2 with only these options nothing more nothing less:

1. navigation
2. sat radio
3. heated seat option
4. power pedals
5. power fold mirrors
6. black in color
7. rear seat dvd
8. black, black, black

my dealer has looked the country far and wide, there are about 20 hd trucks aval in houston area...none with what i want exactly.

it seems they most were ordered with awd. most do not have nav system, most have rear sensors, most have a rear slider window, man or power, alot have a sun roof. my opinion sun roofs make noise and leak over time. rear slide window easy entry for burglary and will lose rear window defroster. $700 for a trailer hitch option becase it has to have rear backing sensors. i get my own hitch later and not have nasty holes in the rear bumper. i like the look of factory options of the navigation and rear dvd...much cleaner look than any aftermarket.

i was just wondering how long i would have to wait for the 08's to hit so i can order the exact one i want....like i said, last time i bought one avail rather than waiting...and will not settle for anything less than just what i want.

I never use my moonroof, but I love having it HAHAHA...

Anyway, if that's the only thing holding you back, I'd get the sunroof...screw the Nav system, can't you just order that right when you buy your truck? I bet they'd give you a good deal on it if you told the salesman that you wanted to order that for your truck at cost and have it installed free or else you're not buying the truck.

Have them expand the search to include areas within 50 miles of houston. If they want the sale, they will get the truck.

no thats not the only thing...its about 6 more major options...sun roof kills the rear seat dvd...i have 3 kids 12 years to 1. i have to have rear dvd, not for the kids thats for me, them occupied keeps me sane.

You'll be waiting until September to drive any 08 model truck. HD models are probably a limited run that may start building later instead of in July, so you may be waiting another couple months.

i do not want a rear sliding window at all...they dont look as clean as a full glass, and they do not have a defroster, and very easy to break into. i will not buy a truck with rear sensors, the holes in the bumper look like arse. and this truck is a 4x4...i want 4x2. it does not have power fold mirrors. it does not have rear dvd like you said....but other than that i would say that truck has just about nothing that i want.

so i guess that august or so is when the 2008's are out...

sorry you got offended...i thought i made it clear when i asked...when are the 08's going to be out....i dont recall asking to find me kinda/or close to the truck...i want exactly what i want. like i said there are many, 20 alone in houston area (going out to katy and conroe) that are close but not just right. so i was wondering how long i would have to wait. i am willing to wait not settle like i said i had before.
