Computer problem... Virus???
The wife's laptop is doing a few wierd things. I rarely use it, and she doesn't use it that often either...
But when typing it will occasionally beep for no reason when certain keys are pressed. I can't remember now if its any particular key, but I don't think it is, and it doesn't happen everytime its pressed. It will also not allow you type the number 1 unless you type a ! first then the 1, and delete the !
I think theres some other quirky things its started doing, but I can't remember what. She let her Norton's expire, so last night I installed AVG, and ran it, Spybot and Ad-Aware, and didn't really come up with anything.
BTW, its a dell running WinXP (Home Edition I think) I think its about 2 years old...
any help is appreciated... I'm kinda not up on this stuff, and seem to get further and further behind as the days go by...
I also need to see if there are any better video drivers out there for it. The resolution is really crappy, and there only seems to be one setting where the aspect ratio is correct, but that's another problem for another day...
thanks...

Doesn't really sound like a virus but you can run an online scan to verify that.

You also might consider downloading iolo's system mechanic 6 pro and using it to scan and fix your computer. It is free for 30 days and I highly recommend it.
