Night Crew - You've got a Job

The day crew today sucked. I was busy and they didn't post anything worth laughing or arguing about.

So your mission is to post at least 3 or 4 threads that we can argue or laugh over tomorrow.

I'm tired....going to bed....so get to work.

WMR....keep 'em in line....actually don't...make sure they don't behave.

Just stay in your closet tomorrow, and quit your whining.

HAHAHA, no I wasn't, but thats a good point. I may just do that now, people will finally like me...I'll be "cool" for once:lol:

Actually I'm to lazy to dig it up right now, but a while ago I posted a thread on the smoking ban here in NJ. It got pretty heated and many were pissed off that the govt. was taking our rights away. Another argument was the fact that the bar owners would be losing money because nobody would come to the bars anymore.I have not heard one bar owner complian about it. I still think the ban is the best thing to happen. I can now go into a bar or bar/restaurant and enjoy a drink or dinner without choking on smoke or coming home smelling like a dirty ashtray. I love the smoking ban:banana:

There ya have it!!!!

Well here's how it's going in Colorado.

Smoking Ban?

lovetrucks Sep 1, 2006 12:28 AM

Well, I am an occasional smoker. Especially if I am having an alcoholic beverage. I do agree that smoking should probably not be allowed in "restaurants". However, if you're talking about a club or a sports bar, I feel that there should at the very least, be a smoking section. Smoking has been around for decades. Smoking in restaurants, bars, offices was being done for years. Smoking is STILL considered legal. If they are going to ban smoking everywhere, then why not ban alcohol too. We all know the health hazards of smoking and "second hand smoke". What about the health hazards of alcohol? The people that leave establishments that serve alcohol can kill too. Believe me, I'm not saying to ban alcohol, but where does it or should it end?

Having said that, I am always a courteous smoker when I do smoke. If I am with someone that does not like it, I will not smoke by them. I would never smoke in a restaurant while people around me were eating. And if smoking were still allowed in restaurants, I would go outside anyway. I also never even think to smoke in someones home.

So who's going to get on my case?

lovetrucks Sep 1, 2006 02:14 AM

Nobody bit yet Brew. Sorry Vader.:lurk:

silversvt04 Sep 1, 2006 02:39 AM

As a reformed x smoker I am glad that they passed the no smoking laws here.
Vancouver B. C. It is nice that the bars and restraunts are smoke free...How ever it was done in a rather disturbing way. Workmans Comp. deemed that second hand smoke was a work place health hazard. So they ( a government operated insurance company) has the clout to change and implement new laws. That is what burns my butt. Has me smoking mad..:( ( pun included)..

Smoking is not a right.

They tried that argument in Lost Angeles County before they included bars in the no smoking thing . . . turns out that business increased.

You and about a trillion other people, which is why business did not decrease here, and it won't there either.

I can't remember, was smoking allowed at Triumph when we were there? I didn't smell any smoke, nor did my clothes stink after leaving. See, isn't that nice?

What? Our job is to keep Vader entertained? I don't get paid enough for that . . .

I'll start, you all can finish up:

A blonde walks into a bar holding a 12" salami and under one arm is a poodle. She walks up to the bar and places the poodle on the bar. The bartender looks over and . . .

(OK, that's it for me. Way past my bedtime . . . I'm outa here)

I do not know if he would find this entertaining, but I have these thoughts

how about the idea that the starwars death star's concept model was a hoover vacume cleaner?
Darth Vader was an old heavy smoker with the traicheamodity ( spelling)??
