Well, here's another reason to buy a 2007...

Just read in a communication today, powertrain warranties on 2007 model year and newer vehicles have been extended to 5 years/60K miles in Ford and Mercury products and 6 years/70K miles in Lincolns. Bumper to bumper is still 3/36 and 4/50 respectively.

Any 2006 model year vehicles sold on or after 14 July 2006 will get a complimentary 5 year/60K mile PowertrainCARE ESP with a $100 deductible. Lincolns get a 6 year/75K mile PowertrainCARE ESP with a $100 deductible.

I want to see a quality vehicle that didn't need any extended coverage warranties, but you know how that goes. "Want" in one hand...

Ahh I'm pissed now! Bastards!

I paid about $1100 extra for a 6yr/100k warranty on my '06 when I bought it in May. Seems like you always miss something. I did get the Premium Care though, so it will cover everything, not just powertrain. :D

I wonder if the "vibe" is covered under a pwoertrain warranty or if thats considered suspension related for warranty purposes.

If it's a driveshaft or rear axle concern, I don't see why it wouldn't be covered under powertrain.
