Sweet deal.

Is there an exlusive agreement with your boss or can you sell permission to other people to make or market it too?

right now i'm not sure what we're gonna do...

lets get the patten and then i'll worry about how to "gain interest"

but this product is only aimed at a certan few that have what i have...
and i know for a fact there are alot of them out there...

hint hint

after i made it and got it to work correctly i looked at tommy (boss) and said "if i saw one i'd have to have one"

forget trying to guess its no use

true...if your re-inventing the lathe or something

this should only be around 1k

if you need someone to develop the product and blueprint it at the same time...

yes it can be costly...

but we did it ourselves and made our own prints and did all the pics and the "package" in house...

my boss has some pattens and they dont cost much in all reality if you do all the work...

and with a machine shop at my disposal

to use a quote...

"that was easy"

A stainless steel *****. With variable vibrating speeds. And it looks like a pen. So its a multi-function deal and everyone will think its just a pen....

JK...its been a long day and i needed to say something stupid..Hope all goes well for you!

well I use to work for a precision machine shop here in MD if you ever get stuck or need help with something. But it sounds like you have it all in hand

No no, what am I going to win?

2% of net revenue for the first 2 years?????

BTW there is no guessing, all patent applications with descriptions are published on a web site so inventors can search to see if anyone is ahead of them before they spend the money on the application fee's. But after patent office has recieved the application, then you are protected as long as no one else has submitted an appilcation or has a patent resembeling your design prior to your application date.

Here is a tuturial form the University of Texas engineering department in searching, with links to www.USPTO.gov

http://www.lib.utexas.edu/engin/pate...psearching.htm

You can search this weekend while you waiting to talk to the lawer. Just in case.

For every design or idea anyone thinks of, atleast 7 other people have thought of it. Most people don't take the intiitve to follow thru with it but you never know.
