Alright...So who wants the explain to me why my upload speed is 3x my download speed? This is buggin the hell at me . Is this normal? And is their anything I can do to fix it if its not normal??

 

That is unusual...what type of service are you using?

 

Wireless...through a router

 

I'm assuming then Cable/DSL.....how did you test this throughput?

 

Actully wireless is my type of connection. Not sure I really understand your question but here is what a speed test told me

 

Wireless as in Satelite or Microwave?

Interesting results....I'll have to look into it....intriguing...never tested a true wireless connection...

 

what operating system are you woring with if you dont mind me asking. I have registry tweaks that can seriously help with things like this. They are very basic and i will tell you whats in each one so if you want to build the tweak yourself or i have them already made.

Local company called gamewood...supposedly around 512 Kbps for download and upload

 

Assuming the test is java-based, oddities like this are usually related to the brand & version of Java that you have installed.

Try a few other speed test sites to see if they give similar results. IF all are alike, then you might want to talk to your WISP to see if they have any issues.

 

This one SHOULD increase the speed of your connection within your connection boundaries. This will not uncap you or get you anything faster than the way that it should be.

Unzip install and then restart your computer. After doing this go to 2wire.com and then click speedtest in the upper right. Most reliable speed test that i know of

Maybe the program doing the test is wrong?

If I recall correctly, Download speeds should normall surpass upload speeds.....although that may not apply to wireless.

 

I just test my comcast connection.

While maintaining a PcAnywhere connection to my computer here at work I was able to get 5197 down / 263 up
