High-Court refuses to her Blackberry's case-
How do you guys think this is going to play out?
For the hundreds of thousands of Blackberry users... I guess I'll upgrade to the Treo 700, or that new LG VX9800... There are supposed to be three new Treo's released this year... Story |
I posted this some months back and big D called me a putz....
They are going to get their service shut down....patent infringements are rarely reviewed by the Supreme Court. They either need to pay the VA company their money or stop service in the US. |

My Director wouldn't approve one for me, so I still carry around this big-arse Motorola Timeport. I've never been happier... Like Public Enemy said: Shut 'em down, shut'em-shut'em down. Shut 'em down, shut'em-shut'em down. |
Reminds me of that Curb Your Enthusiasm show with the Blackberry suicide note........BONZAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is barely a set back... this simply means that jackarse judge in VA slap an injunction on RIM (makers of the BB) and theoretically shutdown it's US operations. On the flip side, RIM will just slap it's backup plan into place and start using it's new software that doesn't 'infringe' on NTP's so-called "patents". To boot, since the DoD and many US Gov'mnt branches rely on the BBs there is no way its going to get shut down. I think this is great as NTP had the chance to take a $450 Million deal and backed out last minute. RIM is trying to get the courts to enforce the deal. I hope those greedy pr!cks at NTP get nothing but the huge lawyer fees they are racking up fighting this... it doesn't make any sense... pass up that deal then try to get RIM shut down so they can't pay you anything. I have no fear that my precious BB service will cut out anytime soon, if ever. God bless the BB!!!! EDIT: Oh yeah, the Treo's are total POS... run away from them. |
