**** Clark
**** Clark
Did anyone see **** Clark last night for the new years party on abc.
This was the first time anyone had really seen him since the stroke. I remember just a few years ago, it was the joke he was industructable and looked like he has never aged and then last night, you could not understand him when he talked. I am 38 years old and i think i need to get in shape and work out or something, I do not want to have a stroke when i get older.

My grandfather had two strokes when I was young. The first one crippled him severely, he lost all strength on his left side. He couldn't walk on his left leg, he couldn't move his left arm and he couldn't move the left side of his mouth. I remember sitting at the kitchen table with him as he placed his arm on a towel and tried to slide it back and forth across the table.
We lost him about 6 months later when he had the second stroke.
They are truly devastating.

I lost my grandpa about 3 years ago to a series of strokes.
First one was minor with some minor effects, mostly in appearance.
Second one few months later rendered his speech and most mobility.
Third one a month later he fell out of his chair and died.

I thought it was a bad decision on the part of ABC to put him on like that -- no one wants to remember **** Clark that way.

ddwello, I suspect it had more to do with what **** Clark wanted rather than what somebody figured the viewers might want. My guess is that doing the new year's eve gig is a very important part of ****'s life and being able to do the show one more time meant more to him than you or I might be able to imagine. I think ABC showed some class by granting **** his wish to host the show one last time.

If that truely was his co-host, I bet there's someone in the control booth who isn't working for ABC anymore!
