Ford's new Look?
 

Just saw an advertisement on TV for the 2006 Explorer. The one version, maybe an Eddie Bauer, has a chrome grille that looks alot like a Titan. Please, someone in the know at Ford, let us know they are not going to put that grille on the 07 F150!!!

Wrong forum, it looks nothing like a Titan (maybe if your hammered stumbling out of a bar and it was really, really dark), and styling cues on the Expy and Explorer went their seperate ways from the F150 long ago...

I think the 06 EB Explorer looks great!......I actually went and test drove one this weekend....mmmmmmmmmm..... :drool:

I think its a great looking truck, and nothing wrong with having 292 horsepower either :beers:

I like the new look too of the explore. Looks fancy!

I took a navy blue one out for a test drive about 2 weeks ago to compare it to what I have now ( 02 mountaineer) theres a difference, more power, and quiter (i think due to its brand new)
Then I go to the Mercury Dealership to see what the new Mountaineers look like, and this time around, I would chose the Explore for 06. The mountaineers are still nice but look almost the same on the outside then the 02-05 modles. Inside isn't really all that much different, they called it a Minor face lift for 05 for the mountaineer.

I like EVERYTHING about it EXCEPT the grille. We have an 05 and we test drove the 06 and the two drive NOTHING alike. Although the 05 is solid, the 06 makes the 05 seemingly drive like a Chevy in comparison. LOVE the interior, the power, the lack of sound, the features................but the grille..............sigh....there's always aftermarket. Just my opinion.

To me the sport trak and the new explorer grills have a STRONG family resemblence to the FX4/KR/XL grill. It looks ok to me, but the new Sport trak Adrenaline is a must have!!

The grill remides me of the new jetta.... :wave:

I like the '06 Exploder, I haven't had a chance to drive one or the new Mountaineer yet though.

Take a look at the limited...Its grill is different than the eb.

I like it... minus the badges and the front grille...

Oh yeah... and this one is migrating down to GENERAL DISCUSSIONS...

Is there a stripped down model with a handshaker?
