"I'm picking out a thermous for you..."

So, I'm watching The Jerk on Turner South right now. I absolutely love this movie, but since it was edited for television back in the 70's it has lost a lot of its humor.

What are some of your favorite films that, once edited for television, are just not the same...?

Casino, with all of the swearing in the movie, the tv version is just hilarous

Any of the Lethal weapon films are hilarious on T.V.

Looks like Riggs is saying one thing but the track says "Gosh darn Munnyfunster" or "You airhead"

One of the funniest I saw was Blazing Saddles where they cut the fart noises from the campfire scene.
They were lifting their cheeks but there was no sound so just imagining it made it even better.

Die Hard:

Rather than risk the Yippie Ki Ya Mother-F#$%%^ they completely cut it. Along with about twenty-five minutes of enjoyable family oriented violence and the broken glass in the foot. John McClain suddenly develops a limp with no explanation.

Cable is good.

I agree with a bunch of them here and here is one for a different reason.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I liked the film but not with the dubbed voices. I much preferred the sub-titles. I have yet to see it without the dubbed voices and I cant watch it.
