Got to ride in a GT today what an awsome Machine! It pulls real hard and the brakes are right on the dime!

The car was awesome, I did not get to drive it but I did get to go for a ride in it. We did 2 hole shots from a dig through 2 gear! The thing pulls hard we took off and the car was melting the tires but it still felt strong and the G force was there! Only when that thing hooked it catapulted us forward. Then he banged second, and you could not have picked up a 100. Dollar bill from the dash. What impressed me even more was the breaks that thing stopped on a dime from the second gear WOT he hit the brakes the tires did not slide the car just stopped and it wasn't a jerk it stopped smooth.

The seat was comfy and was big guy friendly. I am 5'11" and way 275 lb.

Also behind our heads was a glass window that lets you see the engine. You could hear no blower wine.

God Bless,

Suavy

Suavy, You are One lucky Guy. Not many Guys out there can say they went for a Ride in a $180,000 Ford GT. By the way was that a 2006 GT? Did Ford make any changes in the 06' model? I know that Color scheme is off of a Original Ford GT40 that Raced @ Lemans. :bows:

What a great opportunity, Suavy!

I guess it's one of the "perks" of the job!

Anybody that has $30 can get a GT ride at any SVTOA event.
I finally broke down and paid mine ... It was a blast ... four
laps at Putnam Park, but they have had the GT at Gingerman,
Summit Point, Autobahn and the Detroit area also. The SHEAT
EATING grin hasn't gone away yet !!!

Suavy, you gotta be a lucky dog to catch the ride for free!!! LOL

:rocker:
