ATM
I thought this was going to be a question like "why is there brail dots next to the numbers, on a drive up ATM?"
|
^^^^LOL^^^
I have always wondered that too... This is a funny thread altogether. |
Working on ATM's, I really do see things like that. And they always seem to do that when I am waiting on them so I can take the machine out of service to work on it. I have actually seen people take up to 2 or 3 minutes to do a transaction. This especially happens when they are making a deposit. It takes forever to do the transaction.
Trust me, I have seen it all As for the Braille on the buttons, I have absolutely no idea either. |
what about the tommy boy trick. backing up the car with the door open and hitting the machine with it.
|
  I love it, watched that happen this morning at my bank!
|
oh that was hillarious!

Just in case its an honest question
Braille on drive up atms can be explained as a cost cutting measure in the manufacturing process. Why make a Drive up atm and a lobby atm when One type or model can do both. The braille is there in case its gonna be a lobby or grocery store model. |
I like the braille on the entrance/exit signs on the outside of restaraunts, (Long John Silver's comes to mind). I've always thought if you could find the sign on your own you didn't need the braille...
BTW, great post...! |
Intersting... I would have thought that it would be different units. One to with stand the weather and abuse, then the other indoor model not so rigid and water tight.
