The Presidential Election Poll -- Who's Your Winner?
Okay Ladies and Gentlemen, here are the ground rules which will be STRICTLY enforced.
1. Absolutely NO BASHING! 2. See #1 3. See #2 4. No pictures. Period. 5. See #1 I'm accepting responsibility for this thread until the election and will delete errant posts at my descretion so please, don't be a spoiler for the crowd. This poll is intended to allow members to voice an opinon, good or bad, about who they wish to vote for. The opinions should be of your own and debates need to be placed in seperate threads AND NOT IN THIS FORUM! Again, debates will be deleted at f150online.com's management team's descetion. No exceptions. Simply put, place your vote in the forum poll and explain your position on why you're voting in the manner in which you've stated. Voting is only allowed once and I intend on running this thread until November. As many folks know, this will be a delicate thread to manage and I will pre-appologize for any toes that I may step upon however; I do not want this to turn into a war. Stating an opinion is fine however; rebuttal should be very limited and should be said with a very tight lip. Let's move on shall we? Thanks to Raoul for this thread idea and insight... |
HA! I was first! Nanny-nanny boo-boo!
one nanner  two nanners  three nanners  ~edit: Now that I went back and read RP's post, I will justify my vote. Uh, it's my right, it's my choice...period. I like Bush, I like his administration, I like what they have done for me and my country. The decisions they have made are made with a heck of a lot more intel than we could ever know. I don't think it's fair to bash unless you know what they do. |
bush was in town today trying to get the voters support here in PA. A president what supports the military will get my vote.

Can't bash, can't post a funny pic... why am I here?! Oh yeah... So sum it up: the country is in good shape, Bush kicks arse and takes names. Kerry is too far out there for me, and his magical 'plans' scare the bajesus out of me. And Bush drives a Ford, 'nuff said.

They all suck. This country is going to hell in a hand bag, VERY QUICKLY.

My first vote as an "of age" American was for President Bush. And I have no problem saying that my second vote will be the same as the first.
I dont belive in exactly everything that he does, but I do respect the man very much so for making a decision, and sticking to it, regardless of the critcisim. |

 Bush/Cheney Republican
Kerry’s voting record disqualifies him in my opinion. We need a stable, unperturbed President, that isn’t influenced by the political wind. Kerry’s vacillates on to many important issues. Good Luck RP :lurk: |
Bush, of course.
I like a President who isn't afraid to take action. Bush has "Balls" and isn't worried about the hair thing. |
Originally posted by lees99f150 .....A president what supports the military will get my vote. I voted for him or rather I voted against Al Gore because Mr. Gore sounded so much like a jerk. I have never learned whether he is or not. I do believe that had Mr. Gore not sounded so much like a jerk that he would have won hands down. However, be that as it may, he did not. President Bush in the mean time has taught me the error of casting my vote for him. My reason is that I can remember when Adolf had a Fatherland and that Cuba, Palestine, Iraq and Libya has or had leaders that strutted around in military uniforms. Now these United States of America has a Homeland and George W. Bush in the White House. Naaaaaa! Its gotta be coincidence. Sure, probably no connection at all. Oh well, it's just a thought but it is my reason none the less. Oh, by the way. My feelings should in no way affect anyone else's feelings or especially their vote. This is not intended as campaign jargon. Rockpick solicited input and this is mine. I sincerely support the notion that a vote against my beliefs is much better than no vote at all. Our vote and our right to spout are two of the things that this country is about. Gosh, even those who choose not to vote still have the right to spout. See you at the polls! :) -George |
I can't bring myself to vote for Buh again with the current administration, I admire and respect some of what he has done and some of his people but some should go. With that said, John Kerry is as far from what I believe politically as as major presidential candidtae could be so I would rather cut off my arm than vote for him... I'll go and waste my vote on a irrelevant third party but I'll go vote b/c too many people have served and died for this country to give me that right so I'll exercise it. I do appreciate Bush's support and respect of the miliatry (my brother is a recent grad of the USNA) and I would certainly feel more comfortabe with him as the CinC than John Kerry. I've said it before and I'll say it again, as a center moderate, with a slight lean to the right, i feel both parties are catering too much to the extremes.

I'll have to vote conservative (whoever it may be). I believe in personal responsibility. There are way too many people who are content to sit on their rear end all day while others go out and work/pay taxes. And I'm afraid people like Kerry pander to those that are feeling sorry for themselves or who think the government owes them something. All I want from the government is for them to leave me alone and let me be as productive as I can. I get sick every time I hear some idiot on TV ask "what did he do for me?"...when talking about a politician. Well, I'll ask the idiot that asked that question...What the heck have YOU done for yourself and your family?! Since when is it the government's job to be grandparents to us all? Please don't anyone lecture me about being cruel or I that don't understand. I have morons in my own family that are lazy as hell. I know what it means to work hard for what I have because that's what I've done. I had nothing growing up. Used clothes, used bicycle, etc, etc. I have no college education, but I'm firmly in the middle to upper middle class due to mine and my wife's hard work (but she does have college). I think there's too much politics being played on each side of the road. It's time politicians say what they mean and mean what they say...not just say anything to get elected. We're already trillions in debt and it's getting worse due to a bloated government that wastes billions every year, people stealing from us via welfare fraud, etc....it goes on and on. Help those that need it, but for those that can and should work...get off you a** and do something for yourself! Nobody gave me anything. I worked for it. I can thank the Army for getting me straight...teaching me a thing or two and just overall, helping me grow up into the person I should be - a responsible, patriotic, hard-working citizen. One of the most compassionate thing you can do for a person is to teach them how to take care of themselves. They'll be set for life if they have confidence in themselves and their abilities. Why run around like Kerry and some of his buddies and basically tell people..."we know you can't take care of yourself, everyone is against you, you can't make it so don't even try and therefore we'll give you something if you just vote for us" ?? That makes people dependent and has to put their sense of pride in the toilet...and so they get an attitude and we have these class envy battles starting. The haves and have nots...us against them. That's a true shame. The United States has the greatest access to opportunity in the world. Those who fail to recognize that or simply ignore it are missing out. How many rags to riches stories have we seen here? People like Oprah Winfrey...on and on it goes. No matter what your color...no matter what your background....you can do it. And guess what, you don't need a politician to be successful...you can do it on your own.
